On Wednesday, May 13th at 6:30 artist Shauna Shane conducted a painting demonstration using a pastel painting with a water color underpainting.

In a narrated demonstration, Shauna showed how to begin a pastel painting with a watercolor underpainting, discussing the issues that every painting requires. First, good design. Then how to see shapes of shadow and light, negative and positive. Most of all, providing access to discovering the joy found in creating a beautiful painting using this purest of all painting mediums – pastel.

Save the returnable bottles and cans! The park and rec discontinued their program, but Ken and Bob are willing to collect and return them -independently ! Collection will continue at the June picnic/ meeting.

NAL members sell artwork at the town wide art show! Lorraine Ficara sold the painting number 1 and Deb Hoffman sold paintings numbers 8 and 11. Congratulations to both of them!
