You can find the Newburyport Youth Hockey League at the Graf Rink every weekend and just about any night of the week in season. NYHL gives our youth the opportunity to learn about and play ice hockey and instills a love for the game from a young age. We are building the team players of the future by encouraging sportsmanship, emphasizing commitment, dedication and hard work. Hockey is a great way

to establish a culture of fitness for our sons and daughters, to encourage self-discipline, individual responsibility and respect for others and most of all promote a fun and healthy environment.

Registration for Newburyport Youth Hockey’s Learn to Play Hockey Program is now open!

The Learn to Play Hockey Program is designed as a player’s first introduction to the game of hockey and hockey related skills.

The program will meet at the Graf Rink on Sundays at 10am beginning February 1st and will end on March 8th.

The cost of the program is $175.00 per player.

Siblings receive a $50.00 tuition discount by using the “NYHLSIBLING” discount code at the time of registration.

These Mite 2’s are such a special group. It’s not easy having to play your friends, especially for a championship! The Maroon team won 3 games in a row, sometimes with no subs at all. That is something to be so proud of!! Way to go Maroon!! The Gold team was defeated by the Maroon team in the first game, but came back strong the rest of the weekend. Both teams won a game against eachother, showing just how well matched they really are! The best of friends on and off the ice. These kids work hard and still have fun. 🤩 The real win right there. Go Clippers!!!!

So happy to see so many new faces excited to start their hockey journey! It was a full circle moment for these Newburyport High School Clippers, as they helped with Learn to Play this morning. Their love of hockey all began with this very same program, at the same rink, with many of the same coaches.

Let’s get ready for Tag Day!!

9:00am - 10:00am - Instructional

11:00am – 12:00pm - Sq**rts

Players will meet and check-in at the Graf Rink 15 minutes before their assigned time noted above. NYHL Board Reps will be present to check you in, hand out collection cups, and assign a location to you and your child.
The players will post up at their assigned locations and will ask for donations to help support the Newburyport Youth Hockey League. Donations received by the community are used to assist teams with tournament fees, uniform costs, equipment costs, and assist with the cost of ice time.
We would like to have at least 1 parent stay with each group of kids (we normally send players out in groups of 2) to supervise the players.
Players must wear their game jerseys. It can be cold so please have your players dress warmly - they can wear their jerseys over their jackets.
Don’t forget to tag us in your tag day adventures
