'Friends of Sean Foundation' is a nonprofit organization created to help relieve the financial burden and stress on the families of victims of unexpected deaths to recent graduates or current students. Our initial focus is to assist with funeral costs and student loans, often not forgiven after an unexpected death. To give some context on the driving force for this organization, we’d like to share
a little about our friend, Sean Sumner. Sean met most of his best friends as a freshman in high school, so he had been a constant in their lives nearly half of their existence. He was full of such positive energy it was only matched by his equally positive and contagious laugh. There was never a moment where his character, charisma, or genuine kindness was questioned. Unfortunately, on Thanksgiving of 2012, Sean passed away suddenly. He is constantly missed by his loved ones, who only hope to help bring a small piece of relief to other families who find themselves in similar situations to Sean’s.
