Newark STAR attends the Rotary District 7630 conference
On Saturday, April 18th, Newark STAR Rotarians joined with over 100 other Rotarians from District 7630 to Learn, Celebrate and do Service for our communities. In a climate that is polarized with politics and religion, it is important that we gather, in spite of our differences to serve each other and solve problems for our communities. This is Rotary’s greatest strength. Club members raised money for Easter Seals Camp Fairleigh, Packed meals for the hungry, wrote thank you cards to the DMV workers traumatized by the shooting of a police officer early this year, packed birthday boxes for people receiving Meals on Wheels. Our district is raising over $70,000 for a scholarship for a local student to attend King’s College, London.
