When learning goes beyond the classroom. 🎬✨

During Intercession, our students spend the day exploring workshops built around real passions, hobbies, and career interests — from filmmaking and video editing to art, music, entrepreneurship, and more.

For this spotlight, we sat down with one of our 11th grade students, an aspiring filmmaker, who shared how meaningful it is to have a space where his creativity is taken seriously and his passion can grow.

This is what education looks like when students are given the freedom to explore who they are and who they want to become.

Episode 2 of our South Ward Promise Neighborhood campaign begins with a conversation rooted in purpose, partnership, and community. 🤝

We sat down with Kelvin Marshall of the Greater Newark Health Coalition and D’renna Johnson of the Newark Community Street Team to talk about what inspired them to partner with South Ward Promise Neighborhood and the impact of working together to uplift Newark families and neighborhoods. Their passion for community reminds us that real change happens when organizations come together with a shared vision. 💙
