Are you seeking employment? If you are unemployed, or simply looking for a career change, The Hub can help! We offer the following services, FREE of charge:
- Job placement and job search assistance with a professional job developer
- Work readiness skills training, such as interview skills and resume writing
- Career counseling and networking skills
- Computer skills training
- Case management

We also offer the following certificate training courses:
- Home Health Aide
- Certified Nurse Aide
- EKG/Phlebotomy
- Pharmacy Technician
- Certified Medical Administrative Assistant

- Culinary Arts/ Food Handler

- Information Technology (IT Support)

- Security Guard

As our families get ready to start school tomorrow, we want to thank our partners who have helped us distribute 4000 backpacks to families in need! Over the past few weeks, we:

🎒Distributed backpacks with UJA-Federation of New York at our Forest Hills food pantry with Lynn Schulman and Assemblyman Andrew Hevesi, and Commonpoint Employment Hub with Council Member Shekar Krishnan and Assemblymember Steven Raga
🍏Partnered with Gotham FC at our PS 16 community school back to school bash, where every student received a backpack!
🎒Handed out backpacks at Commonpoint Bronx with Jewish Community Relations Council of New York and Council Member Justin Sanchez at our Back to School Pool Party
📖 Volunteers packed almost 2000 backpacks with SuppliesforSuccess.org that we distributed in our after school and high school programs

Thank you to everyone who supported us, and we hope all of our families have a great start to the school year!

Commonpoint is excited to partner with the Institute for Digital Court Reporting and NYC Department of Youth and Community Development to offer a new 24 week paid digital court reporter training for ages 18-40 with cohorts beginning this fall in both Queens and the Bronx!
