What an incredible two days at NYC Tech Week 2026!
Urban Upbound was proud to participate in “The City Hacks the State,” bringing together leaders, innovators, educators, students, and industry professionals to explore the future of technology, artificial intelligence, and workforce development.
Our Co-Founder and CEO, Bishop Mitchell G. Taylor, joined fellow leaders and innovators for a panel discussion on the future of tech and AI in the workforce, emphasizing the importance of ensuring that underserved communities have access to the training, certifications, and career pathways needed to succeed in the growing technology sector.
We were also excited to officially introduce Bridge2Tech, Urban Upbound’s new technology workforce development initiative designed to connect young adults and job seekers to technology training, AI skills, certifications, apprenticeships, and career opportunities.
On Day 2, several of our College Access students joined fellow students, computer science professionals, and technology leaders for “The City Hacks the State” Hackathon, collaborating on innovative solutions and gaining valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced technology environment.
The future of technology must include everyone. Through Bridge2Tech, we’re helping ensure that the next generation of innovators, problem-solvers, and tech leaders comes from every community.
Thank you to our partners, panelists, students, and everyone who helped make this event a success!
