With multiple events taking place during the upcoming Halloween weekend, the NOPD reminds both residents and visitors to remain safe and aware.

Tomorrow will have chances of rain during the afternoon. It won't be all day and won't be a washout, but might want to have an umbrella handy. Also there may be a few stray storms, so if you'll be out and about remember if you hear thunder, go indoors! Stay safe out there!

BECOME A NEW ORLEANS EMS VOLUNTEER TODAY!

Volunteers support department operations in many ways including daily 911 unit supplemental staffing, working special events like Mardi Gras, or providing community services.

Volunteers must be a current State and NREMT licensed EMT, Advanced EMT, or Paramedic and complete a criminal background check.

Volunteers may also take advantage of all department training including refreshers and assistance with recertification.
