Team Gleason

Team Gleason No White Flags! Steve played for The New Orleans Saints from 2000-2008.

Team Gleason is committed to improving the lives of people living with Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) by delivering innovative technology and equipment, as well as providing and empowering improved life experience. Steve Gleason will always be remembered for his blocked punt on the night the New Orleans Superdome reopened for the first time after Hurricane Katrina. In 2011, Steve was diagnose

d with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), considered a terminal neuro-muscular disease. Steve is determined to inspire others by continuing to pursue life adventures despite his diagnosis, and has challenged the worlds of technology and science to identify their most promising developments toward new treatments and a cure. Steve and his friends and family started Team Gleason to generate public awareness for ALS, raise funding to empower those with ALS to live a rewarding life, and ultimately find a cure.

Brett has always dreamed of visiting all 30 Major League Baseball ballparks. After his ALS diagnosis, he made it his goal to turn that dream into reality. So far, he has visited 20 of the 30 parks, with Team Gleason helping make five of those visits possible.

"I would have never dreamed of reaching this milestone when I first heard that I had ALS. A huge thanks to Team Gleason for helping support me tackle this dream as they sent me on an MLB adventure to see Fenway, Yankee Stadium, Citi Field, Camden Yards, and Nationals Park."

This adventure was extra special because Brett proposed to his best friend and caregiver. 💍

🚲 💛 4,000 miles. Coast 2 Coast. And an incredible fundraising goal achieved!

Congratulations to Rex and the entire Coast 2 Coast 4 ALS team on reaching the finish line at The Starboard in Dewey Beach!

From La Push, Washington to the Delaware coast, every mile carried Laura’s story and an extraordinary commitment to raising awareness and creating meaningful impact for people living with ALS.

Team Gleason is incredibly proud to be a beneficiary of this remarkable effort alongside the Robert Packard Center for ALS Research at Johns Hopkins. Together, this journey is helping advance critical ALS research and provide the care, technology and support that empower people with ALS to live purposeful lives.

To Rex, the riders, donors, supporters and everyone who helped carry this mission across the country, congratulations on an extraordinary journey, an incredible finish and a goal achieved!
