ESL Speakeasy Welcomes Everyone!

The ESL Speakeasy has been hosted at the Rosa F Keller Community Center since 2012. Since then hundreds of people from many different countries have joined in our conversations to improve their English speaking skills and meet others in a very comfortable and relaxed social setting. Speakers of any and all levels of English proficiency are welcome to join our conversation or just listen if that is all you are comfortable with. No one is ever pushed into speaking before he or she is ready to participate!

We meet every Tuesday from 6 to 7:45. Clothing is very casual and someone often brings snacks and/or drinks. Sometimes we have an 'international food fest' where everyone brings a dish from their culture or country. And every second Saturday we go out together to a event in the St Roch/Fauburg Marigny area of the city, not far from the famous French Quarter. Please join us every Tuesday for an evening of easy conversation. We love to welcome new members to our group!
