br. Fred Allen Falgout, 82, of Mocksville, died Friday, January 5, 2024, in Mocksville.
He was born October 23, 1941, in Raceland, LA, to the late Wilfred Joseph and Beaulah Lambert Falgout. Mr. Falgout was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and was a retired Lieutenant of the
Jeferson Parish Sherif’s ofice in LA.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Guy Cole Falgout, a daughter, Nicole D’Ann Falgout Sweet (Robert) of Mocksville; siblings, A. J. Falgout, Debbie Romero, and Rivera Hoggatt; and
granddaughter, Taylor D’Ann Thompson.
Br. Falgout was a key figure in the recovery of the Sam B. Dryfus Masonic Lodge #396 of Jefferson Louisiana from the ravages of Hurricane Katrina.
He was injured in the line of duty with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Department and served in Traffic and Internal Affairs for the department while in rehabilitation.

His spouse, Cindy responded to our condolences: "Thank you forom our family for the lovely Masonic Bible. I know Fred loved the fraternity and we were grateful to have a local lodge perform a Masomnic burial service."
As far as I know, this was the Mocksville Lodge #134 of North Carolina. They are a remarkable active lodge. Our deepest thanks for their service to the passing of this remarkable and much loved Brother of Sam B. Dryfus Lodge.
Masonic Burial Service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 13, at Lambert Funeral Chapel.

This story is encouraging. The Western US has been swindled by developers long enough: Build a house, reap profits, then let an unsustainable water supply whack the new owners. Looks like Phoenix, though probably a little late, has got it’s act together. The sad part is those seeking homes probably can’t afford them. Allowing for higher density housing and water conservation may provide a solution.

In what could be a glimpse of the future as climate change batters the West, officials ruled there’s not enough groundwater for projects already approved.

I’m drowning in irony rant. My upcoming trip to France has prompted me to peruse French Culture. My attempt to view an overview of Voltaire’s views on YouTube was interupted by four ads.:
1”Come Pray with Me” ( The advertisement is at odds with being coerced to prayer)
2). A video Game ad that begins by watching a warrior launch an arrow into someone else’s head ( Is this a Google engineers view of philosophy?
3). An ad for an animated fairy princess movie. This ad is oddly in sync with Voltaire’s view if monarchies.
How am I supposed to be inspired to buy anything being advertised here given my entry point? What am I missing?
