Post 6579 Members (and their families) spent some time yesterday volunteering to clean Veteran gravesites at St. Michael’s Cemetery in New Lothrop in preparation for Memorial Day.

🇺🇸 We’re Honored to Announce Something Special for Our Community 🇺🇸

VFW Post 6579 is proud to announce the launch of our official GoFundMe to help bring the Vietnam Moving Wall to Chesaning, Michigan from September 4–7, 2026.

Hosting the Wall is a tremendous honor, but it also comes with significant costs for transportation, security, lighting, and ensuring the memorial is accessible to the public 24 hours a day during its stay.

We’re asking our community, local businesses, veterans, and supporters to help make this tribute possible. Every donation—big or small—helps us properly honor these heroes and create a meaningful experience for families, veterans, and future generations.
