August 31 is International Overdose Awareness Day, a time to remember those we’ve lost to overdose and raise awareness about substance use, prevention, treatment, and recovery.

The landscape of substance use is constantly shifting within our communities. That’s why it’s important we make ourselves aware of current trends and strive to create a safe space for our kids to ask questions and get answers around substances and their experiences.

Opening lines of communication around the topic of substances not only combats stigma but can also decrease risk to our youth by providing education around risks that come with using substances.

Connecting to resources that can provide education, treatment, and support for those that are struggling with substance use and their loved ones is imperative to the healing process.

Please reach out to us and we can help make those connections to some of our programming for youth and families impacted by substance use.
