We are profoundly grateful.

Thank you to Singing Resistance, and to Father Allan, Father Vincent Petersen, Deacon Martin Ignacio, and Father Paul-Anthony Turner for their words. To Lillian Rose of Hispanic Connection. To the Interfaith Coalition for Immigrant Justice, and . To every congregation that carried this, and everyone who brought someone with them.

We were one of 62 Indiana communities saying the same thing this weekend: families belong together. Making national news. Our Communities are better than this.

Today was a beginning. The people we gathered for are still in detention tonight. Their families are still waiting.

Today we gather at Warder Park, in Jeffersonville, at 2:00 pm. One of sixty-two communities in Indiana to stand in witness alongside our detained neighbors. Our own community carries a particular responsibility as the Clark County Jail is one of only a handful in Indiana that houses ICE detainees. Please stand with us today.
