Dwayne started off riding bmx bikes as a kid building dirt jumps with friends. He’s been riding MTB’s in NorCal for the last 11 years. As Dwayne says, he loves biking for many reasons-“From the beautiful places we get to ride to hangin’ with the homies, all while the adrenaline is pumping. There’s nothing like it. It’s good for the soul!”

Happy Trailwork Tuesday!!
Featuring-a volunteer Thunder Chicken work day a few weeks back. As a small volunteer run organization-(yes-Kell is our first ever and only paid Trail Maintenance staff), we rely on our community members like you 💪🏽. Thank you to everyone who’s come out to lend hands, shovels and stoke over the last few months and years since we’ve continued to build and grow the NVC trail network! And thank you to all of those who have donated or continued to donate to make our work possible!
Trails cannot maintain themselves! We are LESS THAN $400 away from our fundraising goal of 20k by the end of May! Head over to BONC.org to help us reach our goal and make everyone’s bike dreams keep coming true 🤙🏽

Ever wondered how the masterminds behind these trails work? Here’s a little bit of thought process of what goes into building, maintaining and continuously improving trails as we identify problem spots or areas that could be built better as trails get bedded in! It’s always a work in progress, as we try to build trails that are meant to last.
Like what ya see? Love riding non-soggy, non-overgrown, non brake bump rutted out smooth trails?? We would LOVE to keep providing ya with the best riding experience possible, but we need your help. We are less than 2K away from being within ~30% of our fundraising goal to keep our singular first ever full time Trail Maintenance Staff funded through the year!

Do you ride in Grass Valley? Have you heard the news? A new pump track is coming to town!
🚲🚲
The Centreville Bike Park Project in Grass Valley is moving forward! HTracks was chosen as the best builder to meet the city’s needs and provide greater value with this project-they will be constructing a parking area and restroom facilities along with the pump track.

A community meeting to provide information and gather public input is scheduled for May 18th, 4pm-6pm on Mill St. A second community meeting will be held later on to present potential concepts for further community consideration and feedback.

It’s already been a busy last few months as we head into May, and get STOKED to keep ramping things up for more spring riding ! 🤙🏽
May is officially 🚲NATIONAL BIKE MONTH 🚲. Established in 1956 by the League of American Bicyclists, bike month established to promote community, engagement and excitement around the act of cycling. It aims to spread stoke, education, and most importantly-get more people out on bikes!
Whether you’re a mountain biker, roadie, gravel crusher, downhiller, XC rider, commuter, still learning to ride on a strider-get out and enjoy celebrating bike month with us, all month! Our local friends and partners have a ton of events going on all over the area-check out your local happenings for more bike month celebrations!
is kicking off bike month with a Bike-a-Palooza this Saturday, May 9th! Come ride bikes, buy a beer, and support BONC! 🤙🏽🚲
