740 Rescue Kitchen The Rescue Kitchen is an initiative to turn surplus foods into meals for those in need in SE Ohio. Join us in our mission to Rescue. Revive. Nourish.

740 Rescue Kitchen is a community-driven initiative committed to rescuing surplus food, transforming it into nutritious meals, and distributing them to those in need. By reducing food waste and increasing access to healthy meals, we’re working to fight hunger while making a lasting environmental impact. Through partnerships with The Burrow Foundation, Hocking College, LaSoup Rescue Kitchen, Wasser

strom, and other local organizations, we are building a sustainable solution to food insecurity. By utilizing available kitchen space, we can rapidly scale meal production, providing hundreds of thousands of servings while keeping good food out of landfills. Together, we can turn surplus into sustenance! 💙♻️🍲

🍅 Look what we’re doing with hundreds of pounds of fresh tomatoes! 🍅

Nothing goes to waste when it can become something delicious. Our kitchen is busy transforming hundreds of pounds of fresh, locally sourced tomatoes into homemade marinara sauce from scratch.

Every pot is made with simple, fresh ingredients and a whole lot of care. This marinara will be used in nutritious meals that help feed families throughout our community—turning surplus produce into something truly meaningful.

We're honored to be featured in Ohio Food Recovery's first-ever "From Surplus to Sustenance: Ohio Food Recovery's 2025 Impact" report!

This report highlights the incredible work being done across Ohio to rescue surplus food, reduce waste, and provide nutritious meals to those facing food insecurity. We are proud to be part of this movement and grateful for the partnerships, volunteers, donors, and supporters who make our mission possible every day.

At 740 Rescue Kitchen, we're proving that food that might otherwise go to waste can be transformed into healthy, delicious meals for our neighbors in need. Together, we're fighting hunger, reducing food waste, and strengthening communities across Southeast Ohio.
