Yesterday, Ohio SE joined JobsOhio and regional partners across Ohio to officially launch the new JobsOhio Technician Path, an incentive program designed to help employers build and retain the skilled technical workforce they need to grow.

Through the program, eligible employers can receive up to $10,000 per employee who completes an approved earn-and-learn training pathway for an in-demand technician career.

Thank you the Zanesville Muskingum County Port Authority and Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce for hosting us at the Muskingum County Conference & Welcome Center and to Joseph Keating, President of Zane State College, for sharing the important role education and training partners play in building our region's talent pipeline together.

The JobsOhio Technician Path is another way OhioSE and JobsOhio are working together to connect businesses in southern, eastern, and southeastern Ohio with the resources they need to invest in their people and their future.

📣 As Ohio continues to invest in workforce development, JobsOhio and Ohio SE today announced the JobsOhio Technician Path incentive program to help Ohio employers build a pipeline of technicians! The incentive program was announced at an event at the Muskingum County Conference & Welcome Center in Zanesville, Ohio, where Matt Abbott, OhioSE President and CEO, joined local education partners and companies actively hiring skilled technicians to officially introduce the newest way that JobsOhio and OhioSE are supporting Southeast Ohio employers in developing and retaining world-class talent. The event in Zanesville was one of seven announcement events held across Ohio to celebrate the incentive's launch.

“Developing a strong technical workforce is vital to driving long-term economic growth across our region,” said OhioSE President and CEO Matt Abbott. “The JobsOhio Technician Path directly supports our local employers and workforce. When companies look to expand or relocate in our region, access to skilled technical talent is top of mind—and this initiative gives Eastern and Southeastern Ohio a distinct competitive edge.”

Earlier this week, Ohio SE had the pleasure of hosting our Developer, Builder & Broker Exchange at Huntington Park in downtown Columbus. ⚾

Bringing together the developers, builders, brokers, and partners who are actively shaping Southeast Ohio's future, all over a Columbus Clippers ballgame, made for a night that was equal parts productive and fun. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to the Columbus Clippers for a venue that made it easy to connect. 🙌

A first look at "We Make Your Clothes" is now live, and it follows a woman-owned business doing remarkable work right here in Southeast Ohio.

The docuseries follows Betsy Franjola, who spent decades making clothes in Los Angeles before driving home to Ohio to build something here instead. What she started is the Hocking Hills Garment Center in Buchtel, an industrial sewing school and garment manufacturing facility housed in a former church. The center prioritizes hiring survivors of domestic violence and other forms of abuse, and it doubles as a training program for anyone in the region looking to upskill, using the curriculum and certification program of the Industrial Sewing and Innovation Center.

It is an inspiring look at opportunity, and at what happens when someone decides to pour back into the region she calls home.
