Neffs Volunteer Fire Company Neffs Volunteer Fire Company is an all-volunteer, non-profit emergency services organization. The Neffs Vol. Fire Co.

was established in 1942 by residents involved with the Civil Air Patrol. These founding members recognized the village’s need for fire protection. To fulfill that mission a station was established behind the famed Neffs Hotel. As the organization grew and expanded a station was constructed at our present location of 3755 Park Ave., Neffs PA 18065. Our beginnings were quite humble with a phone line

to the hotel, siren on the roof and a homemade truck parked in the livery stable behind. Today we operate four pieces (2019 Ford F450/Danko, 2001 SEMO Tanker, 2007 Smeal Aerial and 2015 Smeal Engine) and cover territory in two townships. The station takes pride in being part of North Whitehall Township Emergency services and working closely with the other departments therein. Over the years the station has expanded its services to include Quick Response Medical Assistance with Northern Valley EMS, Various rescue responses as a part of North Whitehall Township Rescue and serving as the Truck Company in the Township. We continue our forefathers' benevolent mission through an attitude which values rigorous training, teamwork, community outreach/Fire Prevention, and professionalism. Last evening, our personnel implemented a road closure on PA Rt 873 due to a tragic accident involving a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
At 10:16 PM, an individual stole one of our traffic control signs placed at the Neffs UCC church. We possess video evidence of the person and vehicle responsible for removing the sign. We urge the individual to return the sign to our station within the next 24 hours....no questions asked, and we will not take any further action. If not, we will share the video with the PA State Police and initiate the necessary procedures.

Please do not burn!

Due to the current and predicted weather conditions, a burn ban has been enacted prohibiting all outdoor burning in North Whitehall Township until further notice. No burning in patio burners, fire rings, chimineas or any ember producing appliances. Only cooking with charcoal or propane gas is permitted until conditions improve.

We are hopeful that the ban will be lifted quickly as the relative humidity rises with lowering wind speeds, and greening of spring foliage.
