Nashville Right To Life

Nashville Right To Life Elemental justice demands that this basic right be protected by law.

We at Nashville Right to Life promote, uphold, and support reverence and respect for human life without regard to condition, quality, age, religion, race, creed, or color, whether born or unborn. This committment is derived from a belief that each human being, from the time of fertilization to natural death, has an immeasurable dignity and unalienable right to life. We recognize that society today

places great emphasis on the quality of life, but we must not let our concern for quality override our concern for life itself.

Congratulations!!!!

🚨🚨FINAL LEGISLATIVE UPDATE:
This past legislative session brought a few victories and a few last-minute unique challenges and laments when it comes to what we were able to achieve legislatively. Please see below for the overview of legislation that we supported and opposed.

While our priority legislation was hindered this year from passing, we were able to secure victories in the areas of IVF industry regulations and reforms to civil litigation that are already working in our favor when it comes to the legal challenge against the Human Life Protection Act. (click here https://myemail.constantcontact.com/Legislative-Update--2-Bills---0-Action-Items.html?soid=1101571928552&aid=heX7MYXoMuI if you missed the email last week).

As was discussed in last year’s legislative overview, Post-Dobbs victories in the legislature are different than prior to 2022. But these are still real lives impacted today and for years to come. We continue to count our blessings for the opportunities we were given this session to speak truth and life in the halls of our state government.

📌Your support in the legislative process is invaluable and your emails and calls to legislators make a real difference. Thank you for every click, call, visit and prayer - you are the voice for the voiceless!

📌We now shift our focus to the upcoming state elections. Our Political Action Committee will be vetting candidates to identify those who will work to keep our laws strong. The next legislative session is only eight months away, and we must have the right people in office to make the right votes. Watch for our endorsement list before the August primaries.

Thank you again for standing with us in this work...for LIFE.

💥HB2380 by Representative Bryan Terry would allow Tennessee's Attorney General to pursue civil claims and sanctions against out-of-state abortion pill providers.

This legislation would reinforce HB0005, which allows individuals to pursue claims against abortionists, by allowing the Attorney General to also pursue claims against abortionists.

💥HB2290 by Representative Ryan Williams (R-Cookeville) creates a regulatory framework for IVF clinics, which would require state licensure, inspection and a bond with the State. Currently in Tennessee, there is very little oversight or regulation of the IVF industry. This bill will ensure that Tennessee IVF facilities and personnel are equipped and qualified in this very specialized field of technology according to state standards. This is an important step in protecting embryos and parents using assisted reproductive technology.

📌BOTH HB 2380 and HB2290 are scheduled to be heard on the House Floor TODAY, Monday, April 13, starting at 2:00 pm CST. Please contact your Representative and ask him/her to vote YES on HB 2380 and HB2290.

Why It Matters:
Though distribution of the abortion pill is already illegal in Tennessee, the bill aims to further deter out-of-state distributors from sending illegal abortion pills into the state.

Tennessee State Rep .Gino Bulso By Bridget Sielicki Lawmakers in the Tennessee House and Senate have passed a bill that would make abortion pill distributors liable in wrongful death lawsuits. The bill next heads to the desk of Governor Bill Lee. Key Takeaways: A bill that would allow family members...

🙏PRAYER and FASTING For Life
Stacy Dunn, President TN Right to Life🙏

He was despised and rejected by others; a man of suffering and acquainted with infirmity; and as one from whom others hide their faces he was despised, and we held him of no account. Surely he has borne our infirmities and carried our diseases; yet we accounted him stricken, struck down by God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the punishment that made us whole, and by his bruises we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have all turned to our own way, and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Isaiah 53: 3-6

Isaiah’s prophecy seems far from romantic, but it tells of the most amazing love story of all time. God loved us so much that He sent His Son to live among us and to love us even unto death. He who was sinless, became the curse for us and laid down His life. There is no greater love than this.

The birth of the Savior of the World is filled with beauty - a precious Child, born of a virgin, heralded by a host of angels and visited by wise men. Love comes down from Heaven. The death of the Savior of the World is filled with betrayal, rejection and violence. Love is mocked, beaten and hung on a cross.

As Christ shows us in His passion and death, true love is about sacrifice and yes, even suffering.

But this is a foreign concept to the Culture of Death which tells us that suffering is to be avoided at all costs even if that means killing those we are supposed to love. Abortion, assisted su***de and euthanasia are the culture’s solution to the sufferings of this life.

We must continue to pick up our cross and use our sufferings and sacrifices to change the culture. We must love as Jesus did.
This week as we approach Good Friday, please fast and pray for strength to love beyond our own ability. By God’s grace, let’s pray and fast for those who work in the abortion industry or promote the abortion agenda. May we offer our prayers and sacrifices out of love for them just like Jesus did for all of us.

Thank you for praying and fasting for an end to abortion.

“We are interested in stopping the slaughter of innocent unborn children in Tennessee, and we are interested in stopping the harm in young women as well,” Bulso said.
