The City of Napoleon is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator – Apprentice, Class I, II or III . The primary objective of this position, under direct supervision of the Wastewater Superintendent, is to maintain and operate the wastewater treatment plant in accordance with EPA regulations and requirements. Additional tasks include, but not limited to, repairing equipment and maintenance of buildings.

Applicant must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, applicant must possess (or obtain) and maintain a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Class I, II, or III certification. Possession of a valid State of Ohio Driver’s License is required, with a Class B CDL endorsement preferred.

This is a full-time position with a pay rate of $19.37 - $33.36 per hour, dependent on classification and experience. Additional benefits include, paid holidays, eligibility for health benefits, paid time off, as well as participation in the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS).

The City of Napoleon is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Automotive Mechanic. The primary objective of this position, under direct supervision of the Operations Superintendent and Head Mechanic, is to perform repairs and maintenance of passenger automobiles, trucks, and heavy equipment.

Applicant must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, plus two years of experience in a position equivalent to an automotive mechanic or automotive mechanic helper. Advanced education and/or training in automotive and heavy equipment repair is preferred.

This is a full-time position with a pay rate of $22.19 - $27.37 per hour, depending on experience. Additional benefits include, paid holidays, eligibility for health benefits, paid time off, as well as participation in the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS).

Napoleon DECA has officially joined the Henry County Economic Development office as a new supporting member!

As an Advisory Committee member and a recurring annual judge for the DECA district competitions, I get a front-row seat to the incredible talent coming out of our local schools. Every year, I am completely blown away by the sharp skills, professionalism, and entrepreneurial drive these high schoolers display.

DECA isn’t just an extracurricular club—it is a vital launchpad. It instills real-world business insight, public speaking confidence, and leadership habits that prepare our youth to step directly into the workforce or higher education as high-achieving professionals.

A massive thank you to Napoleon Junior/Senior High School, chapter advisor Jason Zera, and all the dedicated student members for their hard work. The City of Napoleon is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Lineman – First or Second Class. A first class lineman is responsible for performing skilled construction, maintenance, and operation duties on transmission and overhead congestion distribution lines which may be energized at primary voltage. A second class lineman is responsible for performing construction, maintenance, and operation duties on uncongested distribution lines which may be energized, under the direction of the First Class Lineman, Lead Lineman, or Electric Distribution Superintendent.

High school diploma or equivalent is required, preferably supplemented by courses in an electrical school. Experience and knowledge at the level of second class lineman is required. Applicant must possess a valid State of Ohio Driver’s License.

This is a full-time position with pay ranging from $34.47 - $42.53 for first class lineman and $31.04 - $38.29 for second class lineman. Pay will be based on qualifications and experience. Additional benefits include paid holidays, eligibility for health benefits, paid time off, as well as participation in the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS).
