We were honored to support the Team Kareem Memorial Foundation 7th Annual Hope After Tragedy Fundraiser & Awards on Saturday, October 3, 2026! It was also an honor to meet Senator Carlos Guillermo Smith and Representative Anna V. Eskamani who have had legislation passed in our State to fund swim lessons and more! We are so grateful to them for their efforts! Our friends and partners in drowning prevention, SafeSplash Swim School - Orlando - Goldenrod, SafeSplash Swim School - Orlando - Conway, Alma Swim Foundation Danielle Hodge, and The Chocolate Mermaid Shydonna Tossie were together as well to support the families there who lost children to drowning and to fundraise! And we thank Team Kareem for the beautiful award!

We will continue to work to educate and bring awareness to water safety, to fund swim lessons and door alarms! This number must go down! Thank you to our donors who continue to help us in our quest!

One hundred precious lives. One hundred families facing the unimaginable. Children who should still be here, growing, laughing, and making memories.

For our family, this heartbreak is personal. It is why we continue sharing Jake’s story and asking you to make water safety a priority.

Drowning is fast and silent. Please put multiple layers of protection in place:

1- Adult Supervision
2- Secure pools with 4 sided pool fence and self-latching gates.
3- Lock and alarm doors and windows leading to water and remove pet doors.
4- Enroll children in self-rescue swim lessons as early as 6 months.
5- Dress in bright clothing when in and around water.
6- Learn CPR.

Behind every number is a child who is deeply loved and forever missed. Please share this message to help protect another family.
