Wishlist Foundation - a Pearl Jam Fan-Run Nonprofit Organization The original Pearl Jam fan nonprofit organization & official preparty fundraisers, since 2004. Tax ID #205497732.

The Wishlist Foundation is the original Pearl Jam fan grassroots 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Pearl Jam’s charitable and philanthropic efforts. Wishlist is 100% fan run, independent from the band, its management and fan club. Since its inception in 2004, Wishlist Foundation has raised over 1.5 million dollars for charitable organizations in the arenas of health and chro

nic illness, environmental causes, arts and education and social change.

“We are incredibly grateful for the decade-plus years of support and inspiration from the Wishlist Foundation's pre-parties,” states Mike McCready, lead guitarist of Pearl Jam. “I think our fans are very proactive in terms of fundraising for events before our shows. They do it of their own volition and they take care of each other and their communities. It always blows me away.”

A pioneer in fan-based viral activism and leader in the Pearl Jam fan community, Wishlist Foundation's Preparty Fundraisers are the go-to destination for thousands of fans all across the globe to gather before Pearl Jam and other related concerts, forge new friendships, all while uniting behind causes important to both the fans and band. MISSION STATEMENT
Our ongoing mission is to unite and utilize the collective ability of Pearl Jam fans around the globe to make a difference in the world. Together we can do so much more as a group than by each one of us acting individually. Our inspiration comes from lyrics, music, interviews and words of encouragement from the band Pearl Jam. It’s week 3 of PJ Fan Friday!

Prompt: First Pearl Jam Concert

This week’s story is from Matt K:

“My first show was in my hometown of Pittsburgh (Burgettstown) at Coca Cola Starlake Ampitheater on August 25th, 1998. I was 15.

Middle and high school were really hard, especially having been forced to move to a new school and didn’t know anyone. My mental health was really in a dark place for a long time, which is why I connected so much with Pearl Jam, Soundgarden and a few other bands. When Yield came out in February of that year, those songs really hit me in a way nothing had before. I had only been to a handful of other concerts at this point . . . “

It’s Week 2 of PJ Fan Friday! 🤘

Prompt: “First Pearl Jam Concert”

This week’s story is from Brian V. :

“This started with me as a senior in high school. I played baseball and had a game on the day you had to call to get tickets (Because ticketmaster sucks). I had the number all set up for my mom. All she had to do was call and get the tickets.

The whole week I bugged her about getting the tickets and reminded her that it was a certain time that she had to call. Even if she got a busy signal, she should hang up and keep trying.

So the whole game I kept thinking I hope my mom got those tickets. We had to go into extra innings and I was able to hit a sacrifice fly to get the winning run in. After the game my mom came to talk to me.

The first question out of my mouth was ‘Did you get the tickets?’” . . .
