Joey is still searching for his forever home. He is approximately 7 lbs, 6 months old, small breed mix.

Joey is a typical puppy. He loves playing and would do best with a canine playmate or an active family that will keep him busy. He loves other dogs, big and small. He annoys the resident cat in his exuberance with wanting to play, testing the patience of even the most tolerant cat. Joey uses his voice when he is trying to get his foster siblings to play, and okay he does. He is very sweet, friendly and cuddly. Snuggles are mandatory. 💙🐾💙

Joey has been keeping busy. His coat is growing in nicely, he’s a healthy, active puppy who, as any other puppy, would benefit from continued training. 💙💚💙

Joey is an approximately 6 month old 6-7 lb small mixed breed puppy. Maybe Chihuahua, maybe dachshund, likely a wonderful mix of several breeds. 🐾🐾

Joey is sweet, affectionate, curious, lively and frisky. He spends his days playing and nights cuddling with his foster mama and siblings (he had to give up smuggling since his cover was blown…oops). Joey definitely enjoys a midday nap as well. 💤

Joey wants to play with the cat and all the dogs, large and small, but he can sometimes be a bit too eager, using his voice to try to persuade them. Luckily the resident cat is extremely patient. 🧡💚🧡

Joey is being fostered in Vero Beach, FL. He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and is being treated (once a month pill) for Demodectic mange (which is not contagious). He is ready for adoption! 🐾💙🐾

Our hearts are incredibly heavy. We had to say goodbye to our foster dog, Chicken. He came to us after years of neglect and was suffering from multiple organ failure. We did our best, along with our amazing vets, but the best gift that we could give was to free him from his pain. This is the very difficult part of rescue, but we still choose to do it knowing that every kindness makes a difference.

True to his name, Chicken was one of a kind. He was spicy, quirky, and filled his foster home with attitude and laughter during his time with us. He wasn't always the easiest, but he was fiercely himself, and we loved every single one of his quirks. Rest easy, sweet boy. You were so loved, and your spicy spirit won’t ever be forgotten. 🐾💔

Joey’s been busy this weekend! He was at the park and the beach…IFYKYK 😃

Joey is a 6 month old 6 lb small breed mix who is seeking his forever gig. He loves other dogs, large and small, and always tries to get the cat to play with him. He would prefer a home with another playful dog or cat.

Joey is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. He had demodectic mange, which is not contagious, so his skin will continue to improve. Joey comes to his name, follows the pack, plays, plays, plays and is a champion smuggler. Joey is a puppy and does have a good amount of energy, he plays with one of his foster siblings then after he wears them out moves on to the next. He is also finding his voice and learning how to use it, a lot. Joey has not exhibited any resource guarding tendencies. Housetraining is in progress. Please remember that he has been with us for a month and his personality is developing. Joey is the sweetest boy 💙

Guess what??? JOEY is ready for adoption!

Joey is about 5-6 months old, 6 lbs and he appears to be a Chihuahua mix, perhaps with Dachshund, but only a DNA test will tell for sure. Based on his current weight, we expect he will be approximately 10 lbs or less when grown. No guarantees, but he’s definitely a small breed mix!

Joey had demodectic mange, but is being treated and is well on his way to being fully recovered. His chocolate coat is growing in nicely (it’s very short, easy to maintain). Joey will require once a month treatment for the next 2 months which can be purchased at the vet.

Joey is NOT contagious, so no worries if you have other dogs or cats in the home. Actually, Joey LOVES other dogs and cats and would prefer to have a playful canine or feline companion in his forever home. He loves all his foster siblings and is learning all the social skills. He had a fun time at our vet today with his foster brother, meeting lots of new friends. He is a very sweet, affectionate, playful, social boy 💙
