Christians Concerned for the Community

Christians Concerned for the Community CCC focuses on serving, assisting, and empowering the poor, elderly, and disabled in crisis. PLEASE do not randomly leave items on the porch or in the yard.

Household Donations
Please note that CCC office has limited storage space and a small staff to sort through donated items and then donate items somewhere else that our neighbors are unable to use. So that we can best use staffing hours most efficiently, we request that potential donors first contact the office at 352-358-1768. Needs:
- silverware
- dinner plates, and especially bowls
- larger d

rinking glasses (not juice size)
- sharp kitchen utility knives
- pots and pans with matching lids
- plastic storage with matching lids
- general kitchen items, i.e. can openers, graters, spatulas, spoons, vegetable peelers
- electric appliances: hand mixer, blender, coffee maker (not Keurig style),
toasters, toaster ovens, microwaves
- bath and hand towels, kitchen towels
- shower curtains
- twin, full, queen size sheet sets
- twin, full, queen size blankets and comforters
- room fans and heaters

In order to preserve the dignity of those we serve, PLEASE make sure these items are clean and in good working order. We are unable to wash donated items. Again, we have limited storage space. Most neighbors request basic household items. If at all possible, please generally notate the contents of boxes and/or bags. Thank you for helping neighbors in need that reside in our community!

The third project that Grace at Fort Clarke Church did with CCC was to do a major cleanout and accomplish many improvements to our Office Property with additional help and materials donated by McFall Builders, Inc. / McFall Residential Roofing!

Through this Church and Corporate partnership, we were able to totally clean out and reorganize our secondary storage shed, give that shed two new doors and a new roof, tear down and begin to replace our wood shed, fill up two large yard waste trailers, landscape our front porch area, and more.

Thank you so much to the volunteers from Grace who chose to serve CCC's home base, and to Jason McFall and the other crew members who made so much of the skilled work possible.

We praise the Lord for the work he is doing here through his people, and for the work we are able to do for our neighbors in need.

A week ago as part of their Day of Action, Grace at Fort Clarke Church also did a great ramp repair for an elderly woman out in Waldo! This work created a safe and sturdy ramp when the previous one was a safety hazard.

These projects and the volunteers who do them show the great work of the local Church in embodying the love of Christ to our neighbors in need. Thank you to Brian, Blake, and Richard for their time given.

Last weekend, Grace at Fort Clarke Church held their Day of Action, doing service projects all around our county and city, showing God's love through service. They did 3 projects with CCC, and this is first one we will be showing!

With the semester coming to an end, CCC would love to have some of your gently used furniture that would otherwise be getting thrown out. We will be more than happy to pick it up. More than getting it off your hands, you will know that you have contributed to giving back to the Gainesville community.

CCC Announcement: We are in need of any pots or pans that people would like to donate. We would love to have a comfortable amount of pots and pans so our neighbors could have all the things they need to take care of themselves. As well as have useful items that can bring nutritional sustenance.

Hello from CCC! This was a delivery that was done last week! Both items were picked up and dropped off to lovely people who could really use these core goods.

Thank you to everyone who has spent their time, prayers, and finances to invest in CCC. Every contribution makes the world of a difference and DOES bring change!

Another Home Project completed! Ms. D now has a much more functional ramp transition so she doesn't trip anymore, thanks to Richard's design, as well as a safety hand rail on her stairs.

Safety and accessibility upgrades like this are only possible with the support of our volunteers and donors. Thank you to everyone who makes this work happen!

Hello from CCC. This was a pickup of core furniture goods. A dining room table along with some chairs, a recliner, an end table, etc.

This would not be possible without the support from our Gainesville community! Thank you so much for your continues generosity.

Thank you to Bill for assisting this Home Project to install a grab bar for Ms. A! Many neighbors need small projects like this to be completed, and we plan to keep doing this work to make our neighbors in need safer as a way to express the love of God.
