The North Port Area Chamber of Commerce will be celebrating and congratulating the participants of the 2026 Leadership North Port Class at their Graduation Banquet on Friday, September 11th, from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm at Heron Creek Golf & Country Club. The cost is $50.00 per person and the deadline to register is Monday, September 7th.

The community is invited and encouraged to join in the celebration. This year's Leadership North Port Class include: Nick Anderson, Sean Burroughs, Cathy Campbell, Jennifer Manzanilla Dolgetta, Kelsey House, Jeff Mangrum, Carol Valdez, Emerson Schoonover, Andrew Sias, Robin Snider, Katya Sutherland, Melissa Sweeney, Missy Tanguay, Brenda VanSalisbury.

The Chamber would like to thank the following individuals that served on the Leadership North Port Program Planning Committee and helped make this year’s Program a great success: Sue Schultz (Committee Chair), Lora Carter, Matthew Dill, Michael McLellan, Jeffrey Wesner. A special thanks goes to the Gallery at North Port for providing the monthly transportation for the Program throughout the year.

To keep everyone fueled, we enjoyed a delicious BBQ lunch from Darrell's Restaurant—always a crowd favorite!

Leadership North Port continues to provide meaningful opportunities to learn, connect, and grow as community leaders.

So glad Caroline and Garland from the Boca Beacon could join us today on Media Day.

We kicked off the morning with breakfast at the Hampton Inn before visiting Quality TV, WENG Radio, Adams Multimedia Group, and ABC7. Along the way, we gained valuable insight into broadcasting, journalism, digital media, and the vital role local news outlets play in keeping our community informed.

A heartfelt thank you to each of our hosts for welcoming us, sharing your expertise, and giving us a behind-the-scenes look at the world of media. We appreciate your commitment to keeping North Port and the surrounding communities connected!
