💔💔💔OFFICIALLY CLOSED FOR INTAKE 💔💔💔

For the first time in almost 4 years, our sanctuary is officially having to close our doors to the community, and to SO many animals in need, and we are actively having to turn animals away due to lack of funds and volunteers!!😩😩

Our sanctuary is 100% volunteer-run with NO paid staff, and is currently at FULL CAPACITY with 248 rescue animals!! (17 of which are on hospice care!!)

Due to a clerical error at the fault of the IRS, our nonprofit tax exemption status was mistakenly auto-revoked last month—making us now ineligible for the much needed 2026 community grants we are typically awarded each year that help us to maintain our sanctuary, and leaving us temporarily unable to fundraise!😵‍💫

With Summer around the corner, and the Florida summer heat increasing, we’ve also seen a drastic decrease in volunteers consistently coming to lend a helping hand!!(Leaving our Founder Stephanie working nonstop around-the-clock cleaning + caretaking for the animals to ensure the level of care & compassion our rescue animals need & deserve! (Compassion fatigue/burn out is seriously creeping in 😪)

With limited help + the anxiety of Hurricane Season just around the corner, our main goal/priority right now is to focus on the safety and security of the animals ALREADY in our care.. while doing our very best to adopt out and find SAFE loving forever homes for our eligible rescued animals!

The steel barn that kept our animals alive during Milton will NOT be strong enough to withstand another higher category hurricane 🌀 without the addition of spray foam insulation— meaning when this upcoming storm season rolls around, space will be is extremely tight/limited!

The funds we receive from our animal Boarding program is helping to cover most of our feed/hay bill for the animals.. but we still need help to raise an additional $4,000+ EACH MONTH to cover operational expenses like RENT, UTILITIES, INSURANCES, TRANSPORTATION, etc.!!

RIGHT NOW, we are in desperate need of both MONEY 💰 and MANPOWER 💪🏻!!! (Funds/volunteers!) Or we will soon be dangerously close to having to shut our doors.. potentially forever!! 😭💔

HAPPY 4TH BIRTHDAY MOO!!!!! 🐷 🤍🥳🎉🫶🏼

“MOO” 🐷 was purchased as a “ micro teacup mini pig” (😵‍💫😪) from an online breeder when he was just a tiny baby piglet! Before he was even a year old, MOO had to be heartbreakingly rehomed due to not being permitted to live in their strict residential HOA!!

At his second home, Moo 🐷 (and his bonded Kune Kune sister GINGER 🐖) spent nearly 2 years indulging in farrrrrr tooooo many sugary fruits 🍎 spaghetti 🍝 and cupcakes 🧁 with limited space for rooting an exercise … so much so that it compromised their health and mobility… (overfeeding animals an unhealthy diet is also a form of animal abuse, change my mind 😩😭😡)

MOO & GINGER were then both surrendered here to Love Life Animal Rescue last summer where they began to receive the TLC they both so desperately needed during “Piggy Fat Camp” where we closely monitored their new healthy diet/exercise routines! 🥬 🐖 🏃🏼‍♀️

Love Life Animal Rescue & Sanctuary is Moo’s 🐽 3rd home now in just his 4 short years of life!!! 🏡☹️

MOO’s awesome OG mom who still loves him sooooo very dearly frequently drives ~8 hours round trip from Broward County to come spend an afternoon with him and alllll his new rescue animal friends here at the sanctuary! 🥰🥰

MOO’s belly no longer drags on the ground when he walks! And he now no longer suffers from “Fat Blindness” due to his weight! His mobility has greatly improved! And he is such a loved, handsome, friendly and happy boy!!! 🥹🥰🤍🫶🏼🙌🏼💞

“LOGAN” 🪿♿️ & “CHARLIE” 🪿♿️ adventured to see Dr. Pam at last night for exams, x-rays 🩻, f***l testing, and surgery consultation..

The results were NOT what we had prayed for 😭😭💔💔

X-rays show severe & permanent deformities of both ducklings bones, joints, muscles, lungs, limbs, etc. due to extreme malnutrition/neglect from not receiving the proper much needed care from their previous home! 😪😩😤🤬🫩

Since these ducklings went WITHOUT the appropriate type and/or amount of duckling starter feed to help them support their growing bodies, their legs are much too weak to support their bodies, which caused their poor little limbs to break in multiple places!😭😭

Both ducklings also show signs of respiratory distress from underdevelopment— which makes them not currently candidates for surgery due to the high risk of anesthesia— and their f***l tests showed that they are also both riddled with TAPEWORMS!!!! 🪱🪱🥴🤢😵‍💫 (which is sometimes rare in ducks, but results from eating things they shouldn’t, including misc. bugs in their own feces!💩😪💔)

Logan 🪿♿️ & Charlie 🪿♿️ will need to be on a strict pain management schedule of twice daily medications + laser therapy treatments for the rest of their little lives- which will likely be much shorter than what these poor ducklings ever deserved!😭💔

Their Vet appointment last night came to ~$400, and their daily pain medications will cost roughly ~$86/month and will increase in dosage with their weight as they grow bigger.

Logan 🪿♿️ will soon outgrow the wheelchair he just got, and if he’s ever strong enough for his amputation surgery ($$) to help relieve the pain in his broken left leg- he will also need to be fitted for a prosthetic!

We also need to build these growing ducklings their own handicap, predator proof special needs duck coop! 🔨🏡🪿🪿

Reef 🪸🐐 the baby goat LOVESSSS car rides 🚙 and is alwayssss up for an adventure with mom!

So of course we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to take the “dogs” 🐕 🐶 🐐 through the drive-thru for pup cups and a side of lettuce 🥬!!! 🤣🙌🏼 (Although Reefy 🐐 was really only interested in trying to eat the paper bag!😆)

Baby Goats “Sir Chadwick Sand Dollar” 🐐 and “Pebbles” 🐐 on the other hand happened to LOVEEE Culver’s as much as we do!!

Denying ANY animal proper nutrition and/or much needed veterinary care IS inhumane and ILLEGAL!!

There is NO EXCUSE for animal abuse 🚫🪿😤😡

Ducklings (and all other animals) are NOT “TOYS” for children!!!! They are living, breathing, compassionate beings full of needs… just like cats and dogs, just you and me !!!

This is the 12th set of ducklings that have been surrendered to our nonprofit sanctuary, that were purchased from by irresponsible humans who impulse bought baby animals either as toys, or college students in dorms for “social media content”, and couples in apartments not educated enough to know these animals are considered “livestock” in the eyes of the law and are illegal to own without the correct zoning within city limits.

These babies 🪿🪿 are going to the vet tonight for exams, x-rays 🩻, surgery consultation, f***ls, etc.

TSC THIS NEEDS TO STOP!!!!! 🛑✋🏻😤💔

Today we picked up 2 baby Pekin Ducklings from a 3-story apartment complex in Bradenton/Lakewood Ranch, after two days of pleas to our rescue’s Facebook messenger account from a man whose wife bought baby ducklings from Tractor Supply last month to be used as TOYS for their 1 year old human child inside their apartment!!! 🫨😵‍💫😮‍💨😤🤯😡

These poor helpless baby ducklings DID NOT receive the proper diet/nutrition and/or necessary husbandry set-up needed in order for them to thrive, and are now faced with SEVERE MALNUTRITION deficits including weakness, respiratory distress, bone/muscle deformities, and even suspected BROKEN LEGS (likely from being used as a child’s toy) that healed improperly and went WITHOUT ANY Veterinary care!!!! 😠🤬😵‍💫😪😒

THESE ARE LIVING BEINGS!!!!!
THIS IS ANIMAL ABUSE!!!!!!!

This is the 12th set of ducklings that have been dumped on our nonprofit following this years Spring/Easter sales!!!! Domesticated Ducks are being ILLEGALLY DUMPED in community ponds, because Tractor Supply doesn’t do “returns” or even vet “adopters”, and the county shelters don’t take “LIVESTOCK” surrenders!!! And without a sanctuary to step up for them, all of these poor helpless animals have nowhere else to go!!!

These two ducklings will now need extensive veterinary care; inclusive of exams, X-rays 🩻, laser therapy, potential leg amputation/ wheelchair, extra nutrients/supplements, and around-the-clock pain management care!!!💊💉👩🏼‍⚕️♿️

do you plan to DONATE XL coops, a lifetime of feed, and funds for veterinary care for alllll the helpless baby ducks and chickens being forced onto nonprofit animal sanctuaries EVERYWHERE while you PROFIT from the mishandling of these helpless tiny creatures!?!? SHAME ON YOU!!!💔
