30 Years of Strength, Hope & Connection!

For 30 years, Families United Network (FUN) has been dedicated to building brighter futures for children, youth, and families.

What began in 1996 has grown into a legacy of compassion, connection, and commitment to the families and communities we serve. As we celebrate this incredible milestone, we’re reflecting on how far we’ve come, recognizing the people who make our mission possible, and looking ahead to the next 30 years of impact!

To celebrate, our Development Director, Ana Gonzalez-White, and CEO, Ron Simon, recently joined Backyard Broadcasting for a special podcast conversation about FUN’s 30-year journey, the importance of our mission, and the work still ahead.

We’re grateful to our dedicated staff, foster and adoptive families, community partners, donors, and supporters who have been part of our story. Our past is something to celebrate, our present is something to be proud of, and our future is full of possibility.

Join us for Stand Sunday, a special community event designed to support children and families impacted by the foster care system while raising awareness about the need for foster families.

Attendees will have the opportunity to:
- Connect with a local foster care and adoption agencies
- Learn how to make a difference in the lives of children and families in our community
- Enjoy a free showing of Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot
- Receive complimentary popcorn and a drink

Whether you're interested in fostering, adopting, volunteering, or simply learning more, this event is a great opportunity to get connected and inspired.

THANK YOU, Service 1st Federal Credit Union!

Families United Network is so grateful to Service 1st Federal Credit Union for their generous donation of smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors to support families in our community!

These essential safety supplies will be provided through our Muncy Permanency Team to help families meet safety requirements during the family approval process. They will be available to support any family in need.

Sometimes, the smallest items can make the biggest difference in helping families create a safe and welcoming home for a child. Thanks to Service 1st Federal Credit Union’s generosity, we can help remove barriers, strengthen families, and support safe placements for children.

Grab your costumes, bring the family, and join us for a frightfully fun evening at our Trunk or Treat from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at 2090 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110!

Visit the themed trunks hosted by Families United Network. Collect plenty of Halloween treats. Explore creatively decorated trunks and enjoy a safe, family-friendly night of Halloween fun.

A huge thank you to all of our trunk hosts and donors who helped make this event possible. Your generosity is helping create a memorable evening for children and families throughout our community!
