Commerce

Downtown Muncy Incorporated ’s (DMI) primary role is to support, seek out, and assist new and existing businesses in the Greater Muncy area with a concentration in the Muncy Borough. Downtown Muncy’s economic vitality is crucial to the revitalization of our town. It is DMI’s responsibility to identify market trends and the needs of our growing community and to create opportunities, recru

Create Co-working & Community Space for current and aspiring entrepreneurs in Muncy. Work with larger existing businesses and organizations in Greater Muncy to focus on creating and maintaining jobs for those living in Muncy or those who would like to live in Muncy. Create a resource of volunteers to help existing and new businesses thrive in Muncy
Revitalize historical architecture and improve our streetscapes to beautify Downtown Muncy. Incorporate a walkable/bikeable town that connects the community to their downtown businesses and outdoor recreation

Partnerships

Downtown Muncy will work with established business owners, volunteers, progressive political leadership, historical preservationists, local government and responsible property owners. Architecture & Historic Preservation

Muncy’s historical architecture and quintessential small town atmosphere is an asset to our community and needs to be revitalized and maintained with care and passion. DMI will work with preservation groups, the Muncy Borough government, and code officials to help encourage and maintain the town’s infrastructure. Work with stronger codes to ensure our community is visibly compliant to the vision of a beautiful historic town. We will offer real support in maintaining a historically preserved community while promoting its adaptive reuse potential for new businesses. Nature and Heritage Tourism

Muncy’s proximity to the Susquehanna River, adequate green space allows for great opportunities for more outdoor recreation for our residents as well as visitors. PA Wilds, an organization that DMI will be actively involved in, promotes outdoor recreation in PA which provides resources for our community and visitors to explore and enjoy the beautiful Appalachian area that we are fortunate to call home.

Downtown Muncy, Inc. is teaming up with the Vineyard Community Activity Center for their First Annual Car Show Fundraiser on August 1, and we’re looking for vendors to help make it a great day for the community.

Downtown Muncy, Inc. is excited to kick off our Muncy Outdoor Movie Night series on Saturday, June 20 with The Goonies at Zaspy's.

Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, glow sticks, family, and friends for an evening under the stars. Thanks to the support of Young Industries, admission is completely free.

Grounds open at 8:30 PM
Movie begins approximately 30 to 40 minutes after sunset

Join us as we launch a summer tradition designed to bring our community together.

EVENT INFORMATION
Guests are responsible for bringing their own chairs or blankets.
No outside alcohol is permitted.
Children must be supervised at all times.
Please clean up your area before leaving.
Parking is available at 101 E. Mechanic St., Muncy.

We’re excited to welcome Izzy Butters Music to June Fourth Friday | Downtown Muncy | June 26, 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

What started as a young girl’s love for singing and playing guitar has grown into a voice that is making an impact across Central Pennsylvania.
Performing since the age of nine, Izzy brings a mix of country, rock, and favorite sing-along songs to every show.

Her love of music shines through every performance, and we’re proud to welcome one of the area’s talented young artists to the Fourth Friday stage.

Join us for an evening of live music, local vendors, food, family fun, and community in downtown Muncy.

Another season is underway in Downtown Muncy, and vendorspaces are now open under our new registration system.

If you’re planning to participate in any upcoming events, we encourage you to register soon. Spaces are limited and will be reserved as registrations are completed.
