❤️ THIS! Kellie, who is the librarian at McCulloch Junior High School - Marion Community Schools, came to Classroom Connections of ECI today and got nearly 1,400 books to gift to students at their Thursday night family event. This was made possible by the generous support from the Kids In Need Foundation and Scholastic 📚!
👏 Thanks for getting students excited about reading and books! 👏

2026 BSU Homecoming parade SUCCESS! Because of great volunteers and community partners Classroom Connections of ECI was able to distribute and gift 4,500 books along the parade route to children and families in the greater Muncie and Delaware County area! Woo-hoo! The power of collaboration & the love of reading shows through every book gifted.

In 6 years, volunteers of our joint literacy parade float have gifted nearly 30,000 books 📚 to children/families during the BSU Homecoming Parade event. I love this ♥️ and the literacy impact it has had on our community!

I was most struck by the video of the parade -thanks Moth- which is posted in the comments section below. As we march by you can hear families and children cheering and saying, “Oh my gosh…they are giving out books.” “Awesome, this is really awesome!”

Big thanks to Muncie Public Library, Altrusa International of Muncie, Ross Community, and Alpha Delta Kappa Ball State Chapter.

Special thanks to Angela Beck who drove this year’s parade truck! 😘
