Whiskers In Need Whiskers In Need is a registered 501(c)3 non- profit. We are a volunteer managed adoption room.

Our primary partner is Adams County Pet Rescue, and we work with other independent rescuers, trappers, vets, and the public to get cats into safe foster homes and then forever homes. To meet the cats please email [email protected] to make an appointment.

Coming Sunday.

Seagull was found alone on Hwy 99 when she was a little over 4 weeks old. A thorough search didn't turn up her mama or any other kittens. She's been in foster care with another, younger kitten, adult cats, and a cat friendly dog.

Her foster mom describes Seagull as playful, silly, down with belly rubs, and while not a fan of being held, she does enjoy snuggling right up next to you. She's smart, inquisitive, and brave. She loves to be up high, always picking the highest perch available. This terrific tuxie is highly social and will need another cat or cats in her new home. Coming Sunday!

Dewberry (F) and Loganberry (M) are the other two PNW Berries who were found on their own as itty-bitty babies. The humans and the adult cats in their foster home have taught them how to be exceptional felines and benevolent owners of people. As bonded siblings, they need a home together with people ready to indulge them with tasty treats, snuggles, a cat tree (or three) for surveying their kingdom, and lots of love. Gooseberry and Thimbleberry, were quite young when they were found without a mom, struggling to survive. Rescued and brought to us, they landed in a fabulous foster home along with their siblings, Dewberry and Loganberry. Sensitive Senior.

Ms. Kitty Fribbitz has had an extremely difficult 2026. Her lifetime owner died unexpectedly leaving her with no family and no home. She's been hanging out with one of our exceptional foster families for a few months now and would really benefit from finding her permanent home and a chance to love again.

This tiny tabby also answers to Agnes, for reasons only she knows (and hasn't divulged). She has a bit of social anxiety and finds meeting new people challenging. She may seek quiet spots to tuck herself into until she's feeling comfortable and secure. Like so many introverts, what she is hiding is a delightfully loyal friend, with the soft fur of a kitten, and the voice of a death metal singer who has been smoking 3 packs a day for twenty years. Once she starts rasping her demands and opinions at you and rubbing her sleek fur on your fingertips, you'll know you are her forever friend. Ms. Fribbitz loves cardboard boxes and cozy blankets, doesn't appreciate dogs or rambunctious kids, but seems fine with other non-aggressive cats. She also appreciates a good squeezy treat, a deep cushy cat bed, and a fine catnip/silvervine blend.

Marzipan and Palmier are ready to warm your lap, amuse you with their playful, funny antics, and fill your heart with joy. These sisters have come so far from their start as feral kittens! Their foster family and our volunteers surrounded them with love, patience, and gave them the time to become confident, comfortable, and capable of being your best friends. They are more than ready to have a permanent home with people they can love and who will love them back for all the years of their lives. Well hello there, I'm Beignet. My foster humans pronounce it Ben-yay", like a French pastry, and tell me I'm just as sweet as one.

Honestly, I'm the quiet observer type, still learning how to trust humans. I'm happy to sit in the room with you and watch you do stuff, but it will take some time before I'm comfortable with you petting and handling me.

I love playing with string toys and wands, so if you wave around a feather toy on a string, I'll have a great time chasing and pouncing on it. I absolutely adore treats, especially those squeeze tubes of pureed fish and chicken flavors. Those are my favorites!

I'd be happy in a quiet home with someone who understands shy cats and is content to let me warm up to them in my own time. No kids, please. I would really like to have my sister as my emotional support cat, plus she'll be happy to cuddle with you while I observe. Would you be willing to help me learn how to trust people? Bon jour. I'm Choquette - my foster humans pronounce it "shoe-KET" or "cho-ket". They say I'm sweet as a little French cream puff, so that's what they called me. You can call me "Shoo" for short, or whatever you like!

I love all kinds of food and treats, crunchy stuff and soft morsels. And I love toys! Fur mice, jingle balls, fake flowers, wand toys, you name it. I'll bat at your hands, too, but don't worry, I never use my claws.

I'd probably do best in a home without kids, but I love meeting other cats. My sisters and I grew up outdoors and didn't spend much time with humans when we were little, so I'm still pretty shy around new people. But I've learned that I really like being petted, and my foster family says they can hear my purring throughout the house. So if you're patient with me, I'm sure we'll be best friends in no time!

My sister, Beignet, is still learning to trust people, and she depends on me to be the public face for her. If you would be up for taking us home, knowing that I'm the cuddly one and that she's going to take time to learn to trust you and be your friend we would love to meet you. Spring has sprung!

Our Spring Bulbs are in full bloom. Fritillaria and her 4 adorable babies came from a home where there were a lot of other cats. Their owner brought them to us to find safe, loving homes where they would be the center of attention.

Mama Fritillaria is playful, loves her babies, loves squeezy tube treats, and is an utterly delightful cat. Affectionate, friendly, and extremely photogenic, she would love to stay with one of her kids.

Babiana (Baby), loves to fly through the air chasing wand toys, lasers, and bouncing balls. Her foster family described as "super playful." She either needs to go home with her brother or her mom, or to another very playful kitten close to her in age.

Crocosmia (Cosmo), also loves chasing the laser, wrestling with his sisters, careening about like a fluffy little tank, and discovering the best spots for snoozing after playtime. He will need an active feline friend, either his mom or sister would be ideal, or another very playful, energetic young kitten.
