Supporting compassionate acts by law enforcement officers when people need it most, strengthening relationships between officers and their communities.

The essential relationships between law enforcement agencies and the communities they serve can be strengthened by providing officers with the resources needed to assist members of the community in urgent need, and by empowering officers to use those resources with minimal administrative impediments. Such assistance can be in the form of food, shelter, clothing, fuel, auto repairs, transportation,

or any other means of support that helps to relieve the immediate crisis. A nonprofit program, BlueBridge Alliance is a catalyst for galvanizing community efforts by providing funding assistance, technology, model policies and guidelines, procedural templates, training materials, and community advocacy to participating law enforcement agencies; essentially making implementation, management and promotion of the program as easy and frictionless as possible.

For 23-year veteran Officer Heidi Froisland, a simple BlueBridge card completely changed how she handles these moments. From turning a stressful family crisis into a positive breakfast memory for local kids, to providing emergency hotel stays in a pinch, Officer Froisland is showing us what true community caretaking looks like.

We often get asked an important question: "How does BlueBridge work?"

Here is a quick run-through of how police departments use BlueBridge to make a direct impact in their communities:

- The Training and The Card: Officers who participate in the BlueBridge program undergo essential training and are immediately equipped with a BlueBridge card.
- Community-Funded: These cards are pre-loaded with a modest amount of community-raised funds, allowing officers to help anyone, the exact moment it is needed.
- Officer Discretion: The best part about this program is that purchases are entirely up to the officer's discretion, making every situation unique. Whenever an officer would normally reach into their own wallet to help, that is when BlueBridge steps in.
- 24/7 Support: Officers can use their card at any time without jumping through multiple bureaucratic hoops. In fact, they are frequently used between 10 PM and 6 AM. When everything else is closed, the police are still out there helping people.

These instances can include, but are not limited to, emergency hotel stays, food, warm clothes, blankets, or gas.

Something as simple as a tank of gas—especially right now—goes such a long way for anyone in the community, but especially for someone who is down on their luck. It's these small, intentional moments of care that make the biggest difference. Keep up the amazing work!

Brian and Kelsey had the absolute pleasure of attending WASPC (the Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs) two weeks ago!

They always put on such an amazing conference, and our favorite part about having our booth up is getting to see so many familiar faces. We have plenty of great content coming your way soon, but for now, we just wanted to say we had a blast catching up with our partners and meeting new friends! Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello.

A little throwback, but we just had to share this image when we saw it—just look at those smiles!

You may remember our Co-founder, Brian, attending the Wenatchee Valley Law Enforcement Recognition Ceremony back in April. We were honored to present the East Wenatchee PD with our Active Community award.

To put it simply: East Wenatchee PD goes above and beyond in absolutely everything they do. They even handed out their own internal BlueBridge awards to Officer Kevin Hernandez and Officer Ivy Jurgensen, who are constantly utilizing their card to show deep compassion in the community.

We are incredibly lucky to work alongside such a dedicated agency. Thank you, East Wenatchee PD, for everything you do!
