Every person living in recovery today had to survive their hardest days to get here.

Some needed treatment. Some needed encouragement. Some needed someone who refused to give up on them.

And some needed Narcan.

❤️ Narcan doesn't treat addiction. It gives someone the chance to live long enough to seek recovery.

Behind every overdose is a human being. Someone's child. Someone's parent. Someone's friend. Someone with a story that isn't finished.

You don't have to be a first responder, healthcare professional, or someone personally affected by addiction to carry Narcan.

You just have to care about another human being.

Naloxone (Narcan) is a safe, easy-to-use medication that can reverse an opioid overdose, including overdoses involving fentanyl.

✅ It can restore breathing during an opioid overdose.
✅ It's easy to administer as a nasal spray.
✅ It won't harm someone who isn't experiencing an opioid overdose.
✅ It can buy precious time until emergency responders arrive.
✅ It could save a friend, family member, coworker, or complete stranger.

🚨 If you suspect an overdose, call 911 immediately, administer Narcan, and follow emergency instructions.

💜 WOULD YOU KNOW HOW TO USE NARCAN IN AN EMERGENCY? 💜

You don't have to be a medical professional to save a life. You just need to be prepared!

Naloxone (Narcan) can reverse an opioid overdose, including one involving fentanyl. But having Narcan is only half the battle. Knowing how to use it matters!

🚨 HOW TO RESPOND TO AN OVERDOSE:

1️⃣ RECOGNIZE: Look for unresponsiveness, slow or absent breathing, or unusual gurgling sounds.

2️⃣ CALL 911: Get emergency help immediately.

3️⃣ ADMINISTER: Tilt the person's head back, insert the Narcan nozzle into one nostril, and press the plunger firmly.

4️⃣ REPEAT IF NEEDED: Give another dose with a new device every 2–3 minutes if the person doesn't respond.

5️⃣ STAY: Follow the dispatcher's instructions, provide CPR if directed, and remain with the person until help arrives.
