Sending a reminder that our next fundraising event is just around the corner! We are thrilled to be partnering with Gaia Sisterhood for this beautiful event!

Save the date and get your tickets now for our Light Up the Night Harvest Festival and Walk With Our Ancestors memorial event on Saturday, 10/17.

This is a family-friendly event. Kids 15 years and younger are free. We have so many festive activities planned for you to enjoy:

* Illuminated Fairy/Woodland friends nature trail for trick-or-treating
* Pumpkin patch and carving contest
* Local artist concert
* The fabulous Storyteller, Wayne Goolsby, will be sharing the lore of local legend, The Bell Witch
* Jennifer Harvard of Gaia Sisterhood will be leading a Autumn Broom decorating workshop
* Luminary lighting in honor of our deceased loved ones
* Local food/craft vendors
* Fall Harvest Vegetable and Flower Stand
And sooo much more!

Thank you so very much to all who came to our open house event today! It was wonderful getting to share our beautiful guesthouse with our community. I especially loved hearing folks comment about how "cozy" and "warm" and "quiet" our little cottage home will be for our special guests. We were very intentional when designing/decorating the space, hoping these were the qualities that would be felt.

Last week, we were super busy getting the word out. We visited Saint Thomas West Hospital, Alive Hospice, and Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center dropping off our informational goodie bags. We are so looking forward to partnering with ALL our area hospitals and hospice care centers to ensure our unhoused community members receive the hospice care they need.

We still have appointment times available for tomorrow and Tuesday for our Open House. We would love to give tours to anyone who is interested in learning more about our mission. We are really excited to be counting down the days towards our grand opening this Wednesday, 7/22 (Feast Day of Mary Magdalene). Please just use the link in the comments to schedule your visit. Join us for our first annual fundraising fall festival supporting the mission of Aluna Bridge.

If you missed out on our amazing Telling the Bees event last month, you will have another opportunity to help support our mission this coming October during our first annual "Light Up the Night" community fundraising fall festival event! We are so excited to be partnering again with King Murphy Retreat Center in Goodlettsville, TN and also with Gaia Sisterhood for a magical afternoon dancing with the autumn leaves under twinkle lights. This event will be family-friendly (all kids age 15 and under are free) and will include a woodland fairy trail for trick-or-treating, a farmer's market with fresh fall produce and local artisan crafts, face painting, and pumpkin patch. We will again feature some incredible musicians sharing their talents as well as a special guest speaker who will share the fascinating history of the Bell Witch. My dear sister, Jennifer Harvard, Founder of Gaia Sisterhood, will also be offering a workshop on how to create a gorgeous besom broom. Finally, we will honor the mission of Aluna Bridge and our deceased loved ones by "Lighting Up the Night" with luminaries. Join us for our Grieving with Bees community grief circle which supports ALL types of grief/loss (death, pregnancy loss, divorce, pet loss, job loss, illness, loss of home, loss of a dream, etc.). Much like our beloved bee allies and the hives they build, we will explore as a community the many ways we are confronted with grief. We will use a somatic grief work approach. In this circle, we will focus primarily on the sacred heart and womb spaces. ALL are welcome to attend this donation based event with 100% of profits going to benefit the mission of Aluna Bridge. Please RSVP at our website as seats are limited to 20.
