A little over a week ago, we experienced something incredibly special with a butterfly while hanging out with some of our favorite people. It was spiritual. It was majestic. It had us all covered in chills while tears poured from our eyes.

Rather than giving you a play by play, I’m going to share the words written by my friend, my brother from another mother,
Rick Blair, for he describes it perfectly. I will tell you this though, the butterfly interacted solely with me, Dylon, and Ryder…landing on each of us individually and allowing us to transport it to each other…fingertip to fingertip…especially Dylon. The only exceptions were it landing on my Kyler shirt, Karmyn’s water bottle, and a brief visit with Rick by the basketball goal. The butterfly came back 3 different times and spent 10-15 minutes with us at each visit.💜3️⃣🦋

The Butterfly Who Stayed.

We were gathered by the water, laughing in the summer sun, two hearts carrying the memory of a daughter and a little sister one.

Then a butterfly came drifting, brilliant colors in the air, not just passing for a moment, but sitting with us there.

It landed on a shoulder, then on a finger tip
as if it knew the road they’d traveled,
the heavy burden of the trip.

All afternoon it stayed there, through the stories and the tears, like a tiny winged reminder, love can outlive the years.

Maybe Heaven sent a messenger, God just made a way,
for us to feel her presence
in the butterfly who stayed.

The wind would gently lift it, yet it always came back near,
as if to say “I’m still beside you,
believe me, I am here!”

So when the day was ending, and it finally flew away, it left behind a little peace,
the butterfly who stayed.

And somewhere beyond our seeing, where forever lights the sky,
Ambria smiled upon us, through the wings of a butterfly 🦋 💜

I’ve been waiting to share this super exciting post for a few days. After paying the final invoice at the golf course, I’m ready to do so. 😊

I just wanted to thank all of you again for joining us in our 2nd Annual Ambria's Oasis Golf Scramble. Because of your incredible generosity, we were able to raise right at $10,000!!!
😁😆😁😆😁😆😁

We are overwhelmed and filled with gratitude by your support. Because of you, we will be able to reach more families traveling the road of child loss and provide more opportunities for healing and restoration.

The funds raised will be used for the following throughout this year and into 2027:
-food / materials for bimonthly gatherings
-entertainment activities (kayaking, horseback riding, bowling, etc)
-giveaways throughout the year (restaurant gift cards, hotel stays, gas cards, etc)
-care packages (Mother's Day, Father's Day, new parents on journey)
-memorial benches, trees, and plaques
-meals / lodging at annual retreat
-annual volleyball scholarship for C2 Club player
-literature (flyers for events, pamphlets about Oasis, helpful info/resources)
-completing government filings (to maintain compliance)
-updates to website (to remain current and clearly communicate our mission)

We simply could not do any of the above without you.
Our 2nd Annual Ambria’s Oasis Golf Scramble was a true success because of sooooo many amazing people. Thank you again to everyone who volunteered, everyone who donated a basket, and everyone who chose to play and/or sponsor. As a family, we are blown away by the overwhelming love and support we continue to receive. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!

For my final post of thankfulness regarding this year’s Ambria’s Oasis Golf scramble, I have to recognize the backbone of its success…the players and sponsors. Without you, there simply is no event…no funds are raised without your presence and generosity.

To every player who registered…every person who showed up to support our mission in spite of the weather, we are truly thankful. Every introduction, every encouraging word, every hug meant the world to us. Many of you also purchased raffle tickets and golf extras in addition to your registration fees, which dramatically increased the funds raised for Ambria’s Oasis. We cannot thank you enough for that.

Thank you to everyone who chose to take on the role of sponsorship. You enabled us to take our fundraising to the next level. We are incredibly appreciative of your generosity.

To our hole sponsors, Art Frensley of Music City Inspector, Jacob Johnson Realtor, Michelle Davis McQueen of re:MOVE//training Mt. Juliet, and Amber Smith of
the Mt. Juliet Buzz, thank you so much for your generosity in choosing to partner with us. You are appreciated.

We had our first ever food sponsor this year, so a big thank you to Jessica Kamarata Realtor for helping us keep more funds in the Oasis. We appreciate you.

To our silver sponsors, Infinite Hitting, and Wes Mullins of
OAS Millwright Services, thank you so much for not only entering a team but also taking it to the next level of sponsorship. We are extremely grateful for your support.

While every single dollar raised is both necessary and important, I have to especially recognize our platinum sponsors.

Steven Whitehouse of SW & Friends, you spend most of your time taking care of those in your community with your own organization, and you still make time to show up and support us. We are extremely grateful to you and your continued generosity. We love you!

Opifex-Synergy, we cannot thank you enough for choosing to partner with us this year at the platinum level. Not only is your generosity appreciated, but the fact that you hopped on a plane to join us from Texas is truly appreciated as well.

Teresa Pope Brown of Sign Central, you are our constant platinum sponsor…both professionally and personally. The amount of love, support, and encouragement you have given us for over 3 years now is unmatched. We love and appreciate you so much more than words can say.

Last but most definitely not least, Erik Baxter & Amy Pryor Baxter of Omega Electrical, there are no words to describe your generosity. Not only were you a platinum sponsor, you donated an awesome basket to our raffle, had THREE teams in the scramble, and gave out free t-shirts to every golfer. We are forever grateful not only for your partnership but also for your friendship. We love you both so much.

Day 2 gratitude post from our 2nd Annual Ambria’s Oasis Golf Scramble is all about those who provided baskets for our raffles, and everyone who made a donation of any amount. You made our event both enjoyable and successful, and we are extremely grateful.

We had some amazing baskets to raffle off because of some incredibly generous individuals & local businesses.

Jennifer Roddy put together a wonderful Father’s Day basket, and my mom, Gayle Maxey Wilson, created a special tribute basket to America.
Karmyn Draper, not only was your picnic basket beautiful, it contained literally everything one could possibly need on a picnic. Danielle Patterson,
your mom’s donation of TWO baskets was so very generous. One set up a family for life with all the games, and the other was the perfect set for grilling.
Erik Baxter & Amy Pryor Baxter,
your basket was incredible with the turtle box speaker, golf balls, SIC tumblers, and more.

Some local businesses also got involved in the donated baskets, and we appreciate them all.

Carmelita Stafford &
Marquita of Sister's WhimZy
have consistently supported us over the years, and they did not disappoint with their beautiful Lake Life themed basket.

Jessica of Needham’s Nursery put together a lovely garden basket, incorporating sweet touches of purple in honor of Ambria.

Carrie Hartzog Pfeiffer and
Burn Boot camp Mt. Juliet gave away a free month long membership along with a t-shirt, protein bars, and electrolyte powders…everything you need to jump start your health.

Emily McClintock of Play It Again Sports donated a basket full of numerous golf goodies as well as a certificate for a free hour in their golf simulator.

Emily Peek from Tangerine Salon and Spa out of Murfreesboro donated a gift certificate for their signature facial, which is an hour long. Facials aren’t cheap, and I know the winner will thoroughly enjoy it.

Thank you all so much for the time, energy, and finances you invested in putting these baskets together. Your thoughtfulness and generosity means the world.

Thank you to everyone who purchased raffle tickets. Whether you purchased $5 worth or $100, Ambria’s Oasis received 100% of those funds. The Oasis also received 100% of all straight donations as well as purchases made for the golf extras. Between the raffle and golf extras, we raised close to $2,000!!! That is AMAZING!!!

Ryder McGregor, Dylon McGregor, and I continue to be overwhelmed by the amount of love and support that surrounds us. You show up for us, which allows us to show up for others. You lift us up. You comfort and encourage us, which enables us the be a source of comfort and encouragement for others. We cannot thank you enough for that. YOU are the reason Ambria’s Oasis is able to lock arms with other heartbroken parents…creating a community where we find unmatched strength, support, and moments of relief by gathering together. Thank you so very much. We are forever grateful.

3rd of the month Ambria fun fact

Ambria loved to get dressed up. She went through a phase where she wanted all the “fancy dresses,” and an app called zulily quickly became her favorite. Her face lit up like a Christmas tree whenever a new dress would arrive.

Although she outgrew the dress phase as she got older, she continued to pride herself on fixing her hair, putting on a cute outfit, and getting her nails done (or painting them herself).

That being said, she was also comfortable putting her hair up in a knot on top of her head, throwing on some sweatpants, and walking out the door without an ounce of makeup.

She was beautiful either way, and most people saw both versions.

What most people might not know though is that she wasn’t afraid of getting dirty. Yes, she could be a girly girl, but she was also quick to pick up a bug or dig in the dirt for worms…especially if it meant it would lead to a fishing trip. We all fished as a family on occasion, and I know how much she enjoyed that…how much we all did. She loved to compete with her brother to see who could catch the most and the biggest fish. She enjoyed taking a break with me on the shore from time to time when the fish weren’t biting. Her favorite fishing buddy was her daddy though. Any time she hooked one, her face beamed with pride as she looked at him, and together, they would reel it in. Once the fish was on the land, she always asked the same question, “Can we eat it daddy?”

Such sweet, beautiful moments. Such precious memories that I will hold in my heart forever.

Ambria Dianne, my precious girl…an old soul who knew the importance of slowing down and seeing the beauty. Thank you for encouraging and inspiring us to do the same. We love and miss you every day.💜💜💜💜

I am carrying so much thankfulness in my heart from our golf scramble yesterday. Because I don’t want to cram my gratitude into one crazy long post, I’m going to break it into a few…

I have to start with the volunteers. You truly are the backbone of this event. You are what keeps things running smoothly.

Lindsi Law Solomon & Mikel Law, you handled registration like some champs! Thank you for being there to make check in seamless! Thank you for riding around to take pictures afterwards. We love you and appreciate your time, energy and support more than we can describe.

Stephanie Dorris Gatica, Danielle Patterson, and Lisa Langford Stein, thank you for getting the raffle going, keeping it organized, and making it easy to draw out the winners. Thank you, Lisa & Ron for snapping some pictures and videos as well. For all of you to take the time to come out and support us while your own hearts are broken means the world to us. You mean the world to us, and we love you dearly.

Thank you, Rachelle Young for coming by to hug our necks and ride around with the girls. We love you!!

Thank you Jeff Law, Ida Law, & Michael Law for taking time out of your day to keep an eye of the money and raffle baskets, so that I didn’t have to worry about it while golfing. That was truly a blessing, and I’m very thankful for each of you. Love you so much!

Thank you, Jana Frensley & Art Frensley for adding extra smiles and laughs on hole 7. Shooter was an awesome addition, and you guys increased the joy experienced by all the players. We love you both wholeheartedly.

Amy Pryor Baxter you and Erik Baxter ALWAYS go above and beyond!! Thank you for setting up on hole 10 and raising some extra money for Ambria’s Oasis. Your friendship is a blessing, and we are very grateful for you. Love you BIG!

Carrie Hartzog Pfeiffer, thank you for spending your afternoon/evening with us…keeping the raffle process running smoothly and assisting me with the winners at the end. You always show up for us, which means more than we can put into words. We love and appreciate you so much.

Lisa, thank you for coming back to help with dinner. Because of you, Kristen Blair, Rick Blair, & Annalee Poole, everyone was fed quickly and efficiently. Thank you Kristen & Rick for picking the food up for us. We are so grateful to have you by our sides…always. We love you so very much.

Planning an event takes a lot of work. Pulling it off, takes even more. Typically, I don’t get to fully enjoy the events I plan because there are so many moving parts and so many things to worry about. Yesterday was an exception. I was able to relax and thoroughly enjoy my time on the course because of all of you. You took the worry away because I knew you had it under control. I cannot explain what that means to me. I cannot say thank you enough for that. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! 💜
