Tonight Pack 39 completed a 1.2 mile hike at Lake Grubb Nature Park. Our group was enthusiastic and completed this difficult hike with no whining. Afterwards, the scouts enjoyed playing at the park. Great job scouts!

Friday night Pack 39 enjoyed watching a Stormers Baseball game on Scout Night! Throughout the game they had fun cheering and eating snacks. After the game, about half of the group set up tents on the field to watch a movie and campout. It was such a fun event!

The cubscouts met to prepare decorations for the Mount Joy Memorial Parade. They worked very well helping each other make patriotic paper rings and tissue pomps for our float in the parade.

Pack 39 enjoyed the beautiful weather tonight with a friendly game of kickball outside.

Pack 39 met at the High Family Nature Preserve tonight for a hike and presentation from the Lancaster Nature Conservancy. Our guide, Gary, talked to the scouts about conservation work and habitats. The scouts enjoyed finding animal tracks and looked for invasive wildlife. They found a family of ants and enjoyed climbing rocks before ending the night with popsicles.

Tonight Pack 39 cleaned up Memorial Park as part of an Earth Day service project. The scouts picked up sticks and spread mulch so that the park is ready for use during the coming months.

On Thursday night we met as a pack for game night. Everyone had a blast trying new games and playing with new friends. The scouts did a great job playing fairly and sharing with others. Great job scouts!

Our Blue and Gold Banquet was a success tonight as we proudly advanced our scouts to the next den. We are proud of everything they have learned this year and look forward to more adventures this summer and next year. Two of our members crossed over the bridge and joined Boy Scouts and we look forward to seeing what they accomplish there as well. Thanks to all the parents and volunteers who have supported our pack.

Last week, the Lions planted sunflower seeds for their Ready, Set, Grow lesson. We look forward to seeing which plants bloom. Great job scouts!
