There are 52 garden beds for individual and family use. Several of the beds are designated for use by the Mount Holly Community Relief Organization and Mount Holly Meals on Wheels. Five adaptive garden beds are also available. We offer workshops on organic gardening techniques and benefits, food safety, cooking, nutrition, food preservation and healthy living.The Mount Holly Community Garden also

offers social events for the community. The most popular one being "Enchantment In The Garden at Christmas time.The cost to rent a bed is $60/season. Community members sponsored the garden beds for $250 to cover the cost of the construction, materials and a marker. The markers list the donor's names and were given in memory and in honor of loved ones. For more information send an email to [email protected]

On the garden we have more than flowers, herbs and vegetables 🤔😍

If you happen to be at the garden early in the morning or later in the evening..you can't miss them ..they are quiet noisy. No they are NOT bats 🦇

These are chimney swifts 😁

Thought we could share some fun facts about them

They can not perch,hop or stand on flat surfaces
They have special claws that allow them to cling to only vertical surfaces

They spend most of their lives airborne 🤯

They can even sleep in the air by turning off half their brain -who else would love to do that 🙋

They feast on flying insects , including beetles, flies and mosquitoes 👏👏👏

Their nest are made of twigs and they use their sticky saliva to build half cup nest.

Amazing site to see how they return to nest each one taking it's turn to go down the chimney 😍😍😍

We had a great turn out this morning!!
