Last week’s meeting was at Mendacino‘s and we enjoyed listening to the speech that Billy Barker wrote for the district essay contest. He did a great job writing and delivering the speech. He won third place. Congratulations to Billy Barker. James Baker (district Governor) awarded him with a check as well as another check given to him from our club.
Also, we had the pleasure of welcoming a new member Rebecca Ruane.
Our assistant governor, James Baker presented us with an award for meeting our goal with membership. It was really a great meeting.

Thursday night, May 21st North Pocono Rotary participated in the award ceremony for the school district. Carol Hemphill, Jane Martini and Larry DiScipio were there to present the awards. The following students received scholarships.

North Pocono students, who belong to the N P Rotary interact club. (a high school group sponsored by Rotary groups ) Gabe DeScipio, Billy Barker, Xavier Barker and Edward Bentler added flowers to planters that honor John Glaser Rotary park. John was member of North Pocono Rotary! Great job guys!!!

April 25 North Pocono Rotary had our reverse raffle at Elmhurst country club. All the money that we raised will be used for local endeavors. Here are a few pics of an amazing evening!

Yesterday morning, North Pocono Rotary held a breakfast in honor of all the students that were chosen for student of the month throughout this school year. Families were invited and it was a wonderful event and everyone enjoyed our speaker Sr Mary Cecilia Draru. Thanks to everyone that attended and participated throughout the school year.

Tuesday night NP Rotary entertained the residents at St. Mary’s Villa Assisted Living Center! All had a great time and we provide treats for the staff and residents!
