Our group keeps growing and our reach keeps spreading. We are blessed to be in a community who supports small efforts, surrounded by businesses who don’t blink to cast support, and people who ask what do you need instead of saying I can’t do that! This is how community grows and our heroes in need get the support they deserve! Thank you to the entire North Pocono area and every person and business that made this year possible. We get to add another scholarship this year and still almost double our donation to MossRehab Institute for Brain Health!

Huge thank you to everyone who came out today to ruck or block traffic and for all of you who helped us raise double our fundraiser from last year. Every dollar raised, as always, will be going directly to the ruck for recovery scholarships and helping veterans and first responders through MossRehab Institute for Brain Health. Can’t wait to get these funds to them and continue watching the work they do. Special thank you to the farm box and capital wealth management. Your contributions have made a huge impact. Another special thank you the the American legion post 579, AL SALs post 579 and Junior SALs for their amazing contributions as well. Can’t wait to make next year even better!

I think back on today, not in sorrow, not in regret. But in hope! That our nation will come back to the day of September 12. When we stood as one. It’s been 24 years and I’ve spent 15 of them serving our nation. I pray everyone a safe day, but also stay vigilant. The attacks on innocent people doing nothing but living their lives should not be the norm. Protect each other, protect yourselves, protect freedom and equality!

Spent the day yesterday at MossRehab Institute for Brain Health. It was great finally getting down there and seeing the amazing facility and equipment they use to treat our veterans and first responders. Rob showed my mom and I around the facility, which is connected to an apartment building where patients can stay for free during their entire 3-week outpatient treatment. They have up-to-date treatment and patient rooms, therapy rooms, lounge and kitchen that models a homey feeling, and a physical therapy room with some of the best equipment you’ll find anywhere to find the actual cause of the symptoms. I look forward to working directly with the team there and continue helping to fund the opportunity for our veterans and first responders to get the treatment they deserve.

We just wanted to congratulate Ella Bentler and Rachel Tellez as this years recipients of the Ruck for Recovery Scholarship. I was unfortunately unable to attend as I’m away on orders but my mother gracefully presented the awards. We know these young women are going to use these scholarships wisely and continue doing the great work they did at North Pocono High School in their future endeavors. Good luck girls!
