Join Stevens County 4-H for a fun Thanksgiving-themed after-school arts and crafts series! Each session, youth will create a festive fall or Thanksgiving craft while exploring the importance of gratitude and ways to show appreciation to others.

On the 23rd, youth are encouraged to bring a parent or guardian to our Thanksgiving Celebration, featuring fun arts and crafts and delicious treats!

Come gather with friends, get creative, and celebrate the season of thankfulness!

Looking for something to do over MEA break? Join us on Friday, October 16th at 2:00 PM for a cattle workshop hosted by Werk Cattle in Herman, MN!

We’ll cover feeding, daily care, and showmanship. Now is a great time to sharpen your showmanship skills, learn more about caring for your cattle, and build your confidence with your livestock project.

No previous experience is required! Whether you’re new to showing or looking to build on your skills, we’d love to have you join us!

🍀About 4-H County Ambassadors
Minnesota local 4-H ambassadors are youth in grades 6 through one year past high school who want to make a difference in 4-H and in their communities. Local 4-H ambassadors use their skills in leadership, civic engagement, communication and teamwork to promote 4-H, plan events, guide younger youth and serve their communities.

🍀Purpose: To grow our youth leaders in their learning, promoting and serving opportunities in a fun and engaging experience.

🌱 Strong Roots, New Shoots, Shared Leadership! Join us for the Stevens County 4-H Annual Volunteer and Club Officer Training!

➡Through fun activities, teamwork, and discussion, youth and adults will explore ways to build on club strengths, prepare the next generation of leaders, and share leadership responsibilities. At the end of this session, participants will be split into breakout groups to explore their volunteer, club leader, and club officer roles.

➡Further details:

When: November 21st, 2026 from 9-10:30 a.m.

Where: West Central Research and Outreach Center

Who: All volunteers and youth are WELCOME!

***We STRONGLY encourage club leaders and youth club officers to attend. It is the expectation to have 2 adults from each club and at least half of the youth club officers present.

Clubs with at least 75% of their youth club officers represented at this training (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Reporter, Recreation, etc.) will receive a free 4-H club officer shirt by your January 4-H club meeting.

🍁🍂🍀➡HAPPY FALL & NATIONAL 4-H WEEK

Each club is invited to participate in our Stevens County Club Promotional Contest in the month of October. Because it is the start of the new 4-H year, October is the best time to invite and involve new families in your club. What are ways you can promote your club? Clubs will be scored on the different promotional efforts made, the percentage of existing families re-enrolled and the number of new families in the club during the month of October. The top 3 clubs will receive cash prizes to do with what they would like to celebrate.
