You’re invited to the Celebration of Access at NC State Parks 🎉

Join us on Friday, July 24th at Lake James State Park in Nebo, NC from 10am-1pm to celebrate the impactful partnership between North Carolina State Parks and Recreation, Friends of State Parks, and Waypoint Adventure, bringing inclusive outdoor recreation programs to visitors with disabilities since 2024.

In honor of Disability Pride Month and National Disability Independence Day (July 26), enjoy a day in the field featuring speakers from State Parks and Waypoint Adventure. Join us for a cookout lunch, learn more about this program, and participate in hands-on demos of the adaptive hiking and kayaking equipment that help make our parks more accessible for all.
