Bocce, Friendship & Fun

Burke County Special Olympics bocce athletes invited their friends from the Torch Run to join them for a fun game of bocce. A big thank you to the employees: Bo, Mary, Terry and Wesley from The Department of Corrections who accepted the challenge!

Our athletes took on the role of coaches, teaching their guests the rules of the game before competing against them on the court. Everyone had a great time, sharing laughs, building friendships and helping each other improve their bocce skills!

Thank you for coming out, for making today's practice extra special, and for showing your support for our amazing athletes. Your time, encouragement, and willingness to join in mean so much to our Special Olympics family!

Together, we are building friendships, encouraging inclusion, and celebrating the abilities of all our athletes!
