Last week we celebrated our seniors during the final band concert of the year and our band banquet!

The concert had outstanding performances by the jazz band, symphonic band, and wind ensemble. The concert also included two pre-state UIL performances by a saxophone quartet and marimba soloist. Our seniors also introduced themselves and their future plans. The highlight was when both bands came together to play “Stars and Stripes” and the school song “Ever Montgomery” directed by next year’s Head Drum Major..

Our band banquet had a fun, luau theme with many attendees wearing their best luau and beach attire. Seniors were honored with special awards and scholarships. Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior students were recognized during the banquet with fun section awards and new leadership positions for the 26-27 school year.

Finally, we said farewell to our Head Director of 11 years, Robert Cameron, as he goes on to bless another band with his talent and expertise. We will miss seeing him next year and appreciate all he has done for the MHS band program and our kids.
