Tim stated with Montgomery VFW. We are blessed to have Tim's assistance in helping us out.
This is Marshall, he’s a local Veteran that was in desperate need of a lift chair or a wheelchair and I knew our The Birth Place of the Lone Star Montgomery VFW could make it happen. Wendy Toombs contacted me this morning around 10am asking if we could help Marshall. She’s the owner of an amazing organization called Just Between Seniors. She’s an angel that assists our Veterans with in-home care and many other resources as well. I started making phone calls and with help of our Commander Foy Day we had him a wheel chair by 1:30pm. Opportunities like this are why we do what we do at the VFW. I’m grateful to part of an organization that heeds the call of our Vets in need. Thank you so much Wendy for having the confidence in us to help Marshall. We’re still in need of a lift chair so if anyone in my network knows where we can get one donated please let me know.
