We are looking for school uniforms for a child who is in foster care. He is about to start his first year of school! He needs light blue polo shirts and navy blue pants (picture attached for reference), Size 5 or XS. If anyone has these they could donate or would be interested in purchasing for this child please let us know! Thank you!

🧦 It's time for a sock check!

One item that seems to disappear almost as quickly as it comes in? New socks.

Every Joy BoX we send out includes brand-new socks because they're one of those everyday essentials every child needs. They're also one of the items that can't be passed along the way clothing often can.

Right now, we're especially in need of new socks in all youth sizes, and we'd love your help keeping our shelves stocked.

If you're out shopping and can toss an extra pack in your cart, we'd be so grateful. Every pair helps ensure the next child who walks through our doors has one less thing to worry about.

Do you, or someone you know, belong to a group that’s looking for a meaningful building project?

We’re hoping to find a Boy Scout troop, NHS chapter, youth group, shop class, church group, or other service organization that would be interested in helping us build two more storage shelves for the Joy BoX Foster Closet.

We’ll provide all of the materials. We just need a group with the tools, the know-how, and a willingness to serve!

These shelves will help us organize donations so we’re ready to serve children in foster and kinship care when needs arise.

Joy BoX is getting more organized every day! Since giving our space a fresh coat of paint about a month ago, we've been working hard to make it reach its full potential.

We proudly serve children in foster care, kinship/relative care, and children and families with any involvement in the child welfare system. Our goal is to provide support, resources, and encouragement to those who need it most.

We're also looking for volunteers to help us continue making a difference in our community. If you're interested in getting involved, we'd love to hear from you! Reach out to learn more about volunteer opportunities and how you can help support local children and families. 💙

This week, an incredible team of volunteers from KeyBank spent their time helping transform the Joy BoX space, and we couldn't be more grateful. 💛

What was once a room full of shelves, bins, and lots of "we'll get to that eventually" projects is starting to feel brighter, cleaner, and more welcoming because of their hard work.

It's easy to see a freshly painted wall, but what means even more to us is knowing there are people in this community who are willing to roll up their sleeves and help make something good happen for children and families in foster and kinship care.

To the KeyBank team: thank you for your time, your energy, your willingness to work hard, and for investing in our mission. We are so grateful for each of you.

As Foster Care Awareness Month comes to a close, we want to share that this isn’t just a cause we advocate for—it’s something that completely changed our lives.

Foster care is often viewed through the lens of loss, and yes, there is a great deal of that. But there is also beauty. Hope. Healing. Second chances. Unexpected forever families.

This month, I’m not just celebrating awareness—I’m celebrating them. The JBX in Joy BoX. The children and families who are the heart of our mission and the reason behind everything we do.

Our goal is to continue spreading awareness, supporting foster families, assisting kinship placements, and helping ensure that children in care have the things they need—and sometimes the things they simply want.

And if I could say one thing to anyone considering fostering, it would be this:

You may think you're changing a child's life, but don't be surprised when they completely change yours. 💕

We want to thank everyone who has donated, shared, or volunteered with the Joy BoX. We are looking forward to our upcoming projects and continuing to serve children in foster care!

Okay friends… we need HELP 😅

KeyBank has generously volunteered to come paint the Joy BoX space for us, but before that can happen, we need to move shelves, storage bins, and basically everything away from the walls so we can prep the space.

Usually we’re looking for volunteers to sort and organize donations, but this time we could really use some extra muscle 💪

If you’ve ever said “let me know if you need anything,” this is your moment 😂

We’d love help:
📅 Friday evening
📅 Monday during the day

This would be perfect for a youth group, sports team, scout troop, church group, or honestly anyone willing to help us move heavy things around for a couple hours.
