Hello everyone and welcome to all of our new followers. This first week of November we will be closed while I recover from 5 hrs of surgery on Friday. I think that I should be able to assist in helping with resources or text messages or calls. Im just not able to be in the office. Thank you to our great volunteers who make this nonorofit a success. Cynthia D Brooks Lynn Owens Rebecca and those of you who privately support us.
Recovery here looks to be a few weeks but there should not be any interruption in serving the needs of our community.

Hello everyone!
Welcome to the new followers.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This morning I would like to say thank you to those of you who support our nonprofit. And a special thank you to Shop Monroe First Nick Haynes. See Monroe and Glow Nutrition and Kelly Blackburne. Your cooperative promotion idea leaves me humbled. This is just an example of small business and a cause in our community working together. Today was a rough day. dr. appointments, test results and scheduling surgeries. And I was overwhelmed with the creativity and passion of Nick Haynes and Kelly Blackburn. Shop Monroe First and Glow Nutrition and See Monroe
This is the what community looks like. Working together. Bringing ideas that are a win win. Promote our great local small businesses. Support our nonprofit that for the past 8 years has served and countinued to serve our community. Monroe! Lets realize that when we work together anything is possible. Thank you Nick.

Hello everyone!
and a big welcome to our new followers.
I never get tired of saying thank you.
Today I would like to share with all of you something amazing from yesterday. As you know 11+ years ago I was diagnosed Stage 4 cancer. For the past 8 years this non profit has been there for every family that walks through this door. I have been blessed with such an amazing supportive family that it was my passion to create that for all of you. Two weeks ago I had to have a few new biopsies done. Results were that they are all positive. So what's new. Lol. Surgeries scheduked soon.
So yesterday morning my granddaughter invited me to attend church with her. Monroe Full Gospel Church. Rev. Harold Raines delivered a powerful message. The music was great. I grew up in a church exactly like it. It was so amazing to be there with my granddaughter and to be welcomed by so many and to share communion together. It was a beautiful day. Thank you all for letting me share it with you.

Hello everyone!
We need your help. In 2026 our dontions, grants and fundraisers have not met our increases and growth. We now have every resource needed to accommodate our clients. Because of Medicare and Medicade and insurance cuts 3 agencies that we have worked with are forced to close. They have donated their supplies and health items to us before they close. This is critical that our followers and viewers fully understand what is taking place. The agencies and foundations here in Monroe that have funding for helping nonprofits like Ribbons of Monroe Inc and health empowering grants, were not awarded to us. Our Q4 general operating expense is $ 5,000.00
This increased need in our community and lack of grants and community partners has now grown to the point that we need your help.
I have a friendly idea/ request.
Take a sheet of paper and a pen. Make a list of the people in your life that have been effected by cancer.
Mother
Father
Children
Relative
Co worker
Employee
Add them up.
Then.... just donate $1.00 per person.
Their life has to have been worth $ 1.00 to you.
Mine where priceless.
