Happy October, everybody! 🎃

Spooky season has officially arrived at CalPride Stanislaus, and our October calendar has a little bit of everything: community gatherings, peer support, opportunities to learn, familiar faces, new connections, and plenty of reasons to get out of the house and spend some time together.

Along with our regular peer support groups and programs like Our Stories, We Thrive, Constellated, Transcendence, Body Positive, Gamers Lounge, Tea & Tarot, The Open Nest, and the Senior Gay Men’s Coffee Social, we have plenty happening throughout the month!

We’re kicking things off with our Community Yard Sale on October 3, followed by the Grief & Giving Car Wash Fundraiser on October 4.

Then, on October 6 from 12–2 PM, we’re officially launching our new monthly Lunch & Learn, featuring La Familia Central Valley! Our first topic is Neurodivergence, with space to learn, ask questions, share perspectives, and connect with community. We’ll also have a sandwich platter for lunch, so come hungry and ready for some food for thought!

We’re heading back to Oakdale and Riverbank for our Coffee Socials, gathering for Adult Bingo at Splash, continuing our Special Interest Skill Share, and hosting two sessions of Neurodivergence & the Q***r Perspective.

And October wouldn’t be complete without Halloween! 👻 Join us for Splash Trunk or Treat on October 21, followed by our CalPride Stanislaus Trunk or Treat on October 29 from 5–8 PM.

Please note that the Center will be closed October 11, 12, 18, and 25.

There’s a lot happening this month, but you don’t have to do it all. Pick the thing that sounds fun, useful, comforting, or just a little outside your usual routine and come see us. Bring a friend, come on your own, or share this calendar with someone who’s been looking for more ways to get connected.

Tis the Season to support CalPride Stanislaus’ 2nd Annual Peer Giving Tree! What is the Giving Tree? It’s a chance to support 20 local 2SLGBTQ+ community members in YOUR communities by picking a name off of our community Christmas tree and sponsoring their wishlist!

You’re able to spend within your own personal budget and are paired with wonderful peers who need your well wishes this holiday season. We are hosting a Giving Tree Luncheon on December 23, 2026 from 2-6PM where you can meet, greet, and celebrate with your peer.
