Join us this week as we welcome guest speaker Dean Dodd, President of Cleansing Hope Shower and Laundry Shuttles. Since 2016, Cleansing Hope has provided portable showers and laundry services to people in need throughout the Modesto area, restoring dignity by meeting basic human needs. Through the support of generous donors, the organization has provided nearly 50,000 showers and washed more than 76,000 pounds of clothing. Join us to learn more about the life-changing impact this organization is making in our community!

This week, we’re joined by guest speaker Brad Hart, conductor of the Modesto Band of Stanislaus County. A passionate music educator and leader, Brad believes music has the power to connect people and make the world a better place. With an impressive background in music education, community engagement, and leadership, he has been recognized as Teacher of the Year, a Grammy Music Educator Award semi-finalist, and a 2024 Yamaha Music Education 40 Under 40 honoree. Brad has spent more than a decade leading the instrumental music program at Johansen High School, helping it grow into an award-winning program with performances at Walt Disney Concert Hall and Carnegie Hall. He’ll be sharing his vision for the MoBand and the impact of music in building community through performance and service.

Get ready for this week’s program! We’re joined by guest speaker Paula Kelley. With more than 20 years of experience serving victims of domestic and sexual violence, Paula now serves as Executive Director of Kiwanis Family House. She’ll be sharing more about the organization’s mission of providing temporary, low-cost housing for families with loved ones receiving treatment at UC Davis Medical Center and Shriners Children’s Northern California. What a weekend!! Thank you to our members, family, friends, key club members, neighboring kiwanis club members, Modesto Junior College Foundation, Modesto Police Department, City of Modesto - City Hall, and even Modesto Sunrise Rotary for being a part of this weekend.
