For years, we have worked with Alabama healthcare providers to help protect children against HPV-related cancers.

Now we're preparing to take another step.

HPV can cause cancers in both men and women, which is why vaccination matters for boys and girls alike.

At VAX 2 STOP CANCER, our goal is bigger than increasing a vaccination rate. We are working toward an Alabama where fewer families ever have to hear the words, “You have an HPV-related cancer.”

Cancer prevention may not feel urgent when you’re young….but the choices made today can affect health for decades.

A new Prevent Cancer Foundation survey found that Gen Z is less likely than any older generation surveyed to believe cancer can be prevented or that their risk can be reduced. That doesn’t mean young adults don’t care. It means prevention information isn’t reaching them in a way that feels relevant.

The HPV vaccine can help prevent six types of cancer. Those of us who know that have a responsibility to share it. Talk about HPV vaccination with the young people, parents and healthcare providers in your life. Protecting the next generation starts with making sure they have the facts.
