As I sit on my patio this morning watching my daughters play in the sandbox, chase bubbles through the yard, and laugh without a care in the world, I'm reminded of how quickly life moves.

The bubbles float for only a moment before they disappear. The footprints in the sandbox will be gone by tomorrow. These simple summer moments seem small, but they are the memories that stay with us for a lifetime.

In a world that constantly tells us to hurry, achieve more, and stay busy, God often speaks through the simple things. The laughter of a child. The warmth of the sun. The gentle breeze on a summer day. The gift of being present.

Psalm 46:10 reminds us, "Be still, and know that I am God."

Maybe this weekend, God is inviting us to slow down and notice His blessings. To put down the phone for a few minutes. To sit on the porch. To watch the kids play. To thank Him for the people we love and the moments we often take for granted.

These days won't last forever. Our children will grow. The seasons will change. But the God who gives us these precious moments remains faithful through them all.

So take a deep breath, soak in the beauty around you, and thank the Lord for today. It may feel ordinary, but ordinary moments often become our most treasured memories.

I can't Believe it is Thursday Already!

The week is moving fast, but God is still at work.

Sometimes we spend so much time looking ahead to the weekend that we miss what God wants to do today. The same God who moves in powerful worship services on Sunday is present in your workplace, your home, your school, and every ordinary moment of your week.

"This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it." — Psalm 118:24

As we look toward Sunday, we're praying for:

🙏 Hearts to be encouraged
🙏 Lives to be changed
🙏 Families to be strengthened
🙏 People to encounter Jesus

Happy Friday!

After a few days away with my family, my heart is full of gratitude. The time to rest, laugh, reconnect, and simply enjoy being together was a gift from the Lord. Sometimes God reminds us that rest isn't a luxury—it's a blessing He graciously provides so we can return refreshed and renewed.

As I head into this weekend, I'm thankful for each of you and for the privilege of serving as your pastor. Even while away, I was reminded how blessed I am to be part of a church family that loves God, loves people, and walks together through both the joys and challenges of life.

As we move into the weekend, remember that God's faithfulness never takes a vacation. His mercy is new every morning, His strength is available for every burden, and His grace is sufficient for every need.

"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." — Matthew 11:28 (NKJV)

I can't wait to gather with you this Sunday as we worship together, open God's Word, and celebrate all that He is doing in our lives.

Have a blessed Friday, and remember: no matter what this week has held, God is still on the throne, and He is still working all things together for His glory and our good.

Good Monday Morning, Family!

As a new week begins, I want to encourage you with a simple truth: God is already at work in your life today.

No matter what this week holds—appointments, responsibilities, victories, challenges, or uncertainties—you do not walk into it alone. The same God who carried you through yesterday is already waiting for you in tomorrow.

"This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it." — Psalm 118:24
As many of you know, my family and I will be taking a few days away to rest and recharge. Thank you for allowing us that time. We love you deeply, and we are grateful for a church family that understands the importance of Sabbath rest.

While I'm away, I want to encourage you to keep your eyes on Jesus. Spend time in His Word. Pray for one another. Look for opportunities to encourage someone who may be struggling. Sometimes the greatest ministry happens in the simple act of loving people well.

I am excited about what God is doing at Immanuel Baptist Church. Even in difficult seasons, we have seen His faithfulness, His comfort, and His power. I truly believe our best days are ahead because our hope is not in circumstances—it is in Christ.

Let's make this a great week of faith, kindness, and expectation. God is not finished yet!
