I don't know if any of you know this, but today is a national holiday!
Today is Pastor’s Wife Appreciation Day, and I just have to brag on my beautiful wife for a minute.
When God called me into ministry, He didn’t just call me to preach on Sundays. Ministry has a way of becoming part of your whole life—and that means she has walked through all of it right beside me.
She’s shared me with late-night phone calls, meetings, hospital visits, funerals, sermon prep, and those moments when somebody just needs their pastor. She’s listened when I’ve come home excited about what God is doing, and she’s listened when I’ve come home tired, discouraged, or carrying something heavy.
And through it all, she has loved me, prayed for me, encouraged me, and taken care of our family.
The truth is, being a pastor’s wife isn’t always easy. There are things she carries and sacrifices that most people will never see. And I probably don’t tell her nearly enough how much I appreciate it.
But she’s also so much more than “Pastor Randy’s wife.”
She’s my best friend. My partner. The one I get to laugh with, dream with, raise our family with, and do this crazy life with. And I wouldn’t trade that for anything.
My love, thank you for believing in me, praying for me, putting up with me, and walking beside me wherever God leads us.
I love you, and I’m incredibly thankful God gave me you.
Happy Pastor’s Wife Appreciation Day!
Pastor Randy
