The MNPS Grant Program supports research, conservation, and educational activities that help foster an appreciation for Montana’s native plants and plant communities. This funding is intended to promote native plant conservation through better understanding of our native flora and the factors affecting their survival. Calling all writers, photographers, researchers and reviewers! Would you like to share your work with native plant-lovers throughout Montana and beyond? The deadline to submit for publication in our Fall 2026 "Kelseya" newsletter is Sept 10th!
We'd love to see your workshop recaps, field trip photos, upcoming event announcements, feature articles on plant ecology/natural history, research summaries, profiles on plant people and anything else of plant-related interest. Tomorrow!

It's that time of year! Help Headwaters State Park with their Volunteer W**d Pull 🌱! We will be pulling Burdock - a w**d that creates velcro like burrs that trap and often kill birds.

🕑: 10 AM - 12 PM
📍 : Missouri Headwaters State Park Picnic Area

Bring: Yourself, clothes to wear outside, a water bottle, and a snack! If you have work gloves, bring them!

Our 7th annual speaker series is fast approaching! Mark your calendars! August 13th from 6:00pm- 8:00pm Steve Glutting will be presenting " The Wonderful Life of Native Bees."
This talk focuses on the mason bee and all the amazing work they do. Learn about their life cycle and how to help bees by providing shelter and support for these wonderful pollinators!
This event is FREE! Steve will be presenting in our hoop house. The hoop house is open air, and shaded. Please bring a water bottle as it will probably be warm! The nursery is located at 5605 Highway 93 S in Whitefish. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early.

Theresa Beck will be presenting "Pollinator Planting and Eco Gardening."
Learn about soil health, Montana blooming natives for a full season pollinator garden, what plants serve as host plants for pollinators, and how to identify many beneficial insects in the garden.
