This week we had the honor of recognizing two outstanding members of L271, Firefighter/Paramedics Parker Vaculik and Jack Pickhardt.

Both were nominated for going above and beyond in their commitment not only to Local 271, but also to the State Firefighters’ Association. Parker and Jack help lead our annual Veterans Ski Retreat and proudly serve on the State Honor Guard, traveling across Montana at a moment’s notice whenever they are called upon to represent and honor the fire service.

Parker and Jack, thank you for your dedication to the Missoula community and for the service you continue to provide across the entire state 🔥

The Missoula veterans cemetery at 1911 Tower St. is buried in trees… if you’re 1/2 able bodied, have a chainsaw, know a guy or can lift small branches-make your way to the cemetery to lend a hand.
